    if benning trades for a player that needs to be protected, they would have to be better than the player we'ld have to take off our list? probably baertschi or granlund.

      I'd go with asking Edler for a list of teams, or the team will not protect him in the expansion draft. You can still tactfully say it's nothing personal, it's a business decision.

      i agree ghost  but we do need some vet dmen to mentor youth  and edler eats a ton of minutes is more healthy than tanev ever is and has more offense. If anything i trade tanev  and sign the best righty in free agency get a first for him and sign a free agent  get another decent prospect im sure benning can find another player that falls like boeser

      He's a defenseman though. Good Tanev replacement if it comes to trading Tanev and adding a younger player. Dumba is only 22 and he already has three 30-point seasons
