I'd prefer for the Canucks not to be "the worst team in Canada" than get a slightly higher draft pick on a relatively weak and un-scouted draft.

@coastal.viewImho, it depends upon perspective. I'm personally willing to be patient because the core people they are relying to make a difference are all young and still need to be seasoned. So far, this season is definitely seasoning them (get it? season, seasoning,..ok, it's not as good as your poetry, but I try).

@#CanucksNot at the cost of franchise player Petey though. I think that pre-injury Boeser with his laser shot was borderline franchise player. I had Quinn at number 3 so at where he ended up was a no-brainer pick. If PLD and Juolevi were available, from my understanding, both Linden and Benning would have selected PLD so that's too bad.

@Odd.I was initially on the Cody Glass bandwagon myself. Am sure glad I'm not the one doing the drafting (my choices would have been: Nylander, Konecny, Tkachuk, Glass, Hughes, Boldy).

@Jimmy McGill, lol. To be fair, it was later revealed that he had a shoulder injury during that time.
When I've seen Mittelstadt play in the NHL, he seems like he does have good creativity in his game though. I wouldn't mind the Canucks taking a flyer on him, but I think his best role is a C, and who would he displace?

Make Stech a hybrid?
Too many games we go down to 5d. It would be smart to often roll 11 fwds/7D.
He seems to love playing in his hometown, & always gives 100% effort. Why not train a skater, so that they're highly adaptable to switch, at moment's notice?
In physical PO series, it'd be wise to have an extra D-man, if needed.

Interesting observation: HFboards seems to think Hughes was elite and by far the best player tonight. CDC seems to have very mixed opinions about Hughes tonight.

There are times when I really wish the Comets were somewhere a lot closer. Can't be easy to move from Vancouver to the East Coast if you have a family.
