Seeing the back up ladies with the Buggles, still performing, reminded me of this Bob Seeger concert I was at.

At one point Bob introduces members of the band.

The person with the least seniority in his group had been with him for 15 plus years.

Some had started with Bob in the 1960's.

"We like each other"

I saw Bob Seger at the Pacific Coliseum in the late 70’s?? Still one of my favourite concerts to this day!

Of all the acts I've seen Bob has the most fun on stage, or seems to.

He's on my top 5 list of  shows I've seen.

First Time at Rogers his "warm up act" was Joe Walsh- great show by Joe and Bob

Second show also at Rogers he had a local group called 'Rich Hope and the Evildoers"  Not a fan of these guys. Music was meh, but the lead guy kept insulting the audience.

If I'm paying $150 plus I don't want to be insulted by a performer, unless it is Don Rickles or Jimmy Carr.

Bob put on a good solid show that night.

Sadly, the following can't be embedded. It's one of the Lame List segments from "Almost Live", with Soundgarden.

I miss that show.

Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron were regular contributors to the Lame List. Odd that YouTube won't allow this video to be embedded.

Yeah. My favourite segment of that bit was where the announcer asks for a reaction to grunge/metal bands who sell out for a lot of money (a dig at Soundgarden's success). The camera jumps to Thayll who responds along the line of, "Hey, that's actually pretty cool..."

Great Show, much better than SNL for some years in a row.

You Tube chatter is saying KING 5, the rights holder, doesn't want to issue the series in dvd. Not sure why, but regret their call.

I'd buy those discs if I could.

For a while they had a show right after that played live local bands.

For a while, the local Seattle audience complained that they had to wait until after SNL in order to see Almost Live, so KING moved it to a slot before SNL. That lasted for a while before NBC network front office saw that their SNL ratings were dropping, and forced KING to return Almost Live to the slot after SNL.

About Almost Live, I liked their "bible" where gags were continued over several seasons.

Best one was when the narrator had this long spiel about something political, and the metalheads just stared, confused.

Then he said: “Breast Reduction Surgery”, and they were full-on head-banging “LAME!!! LAME!!! LAME!!!...”
