I like Rugby, but lets be real.. I love football but let's be real rugby is far more explosive - technical and strategic doesn't mean much otherwise you'd see chess matches on ESPN 8. Just because a burner WR can come on for one play and blow past a DB on a fly route doesn't make it a more explosive sport.

Sevens rugby is exciting quick and skillful while 15s is more methodical and tactical. For fans both kinds provide different forms of entertainment.

Prince half time show in Miami was the best ever imho. Why did you force them to watch? You should've given them the freedom to go do something else, go on their phones, go get something to eat. Why didn't Uncle WHL rocks change the channel if he felt the content on the TV was inappropriate for young viewers (it wasn't) ? Was the TV Remote broken? I understand - I HATE getting up to change the channel. That's how I discovered family feud believe it or not, it was just the next thing on.

They wore the same amount of clothing.

You see worse stuff on tv, just look at the average music video. Sex is every where on TV now. We don't live in the 1950's anymore. And you call that a strip show, not a single piece of clothing was taken off. Edited February 5, 2020 by DonLever

Kids these days can't avoid nudity or pornography or even sexually suggestive messages unless they are Amish or in a live in a country or society that blocks access to common tv,shows, movies, the internet or magazines. Trust me they have seen worse online intentionally or unintentionally. On 2/3/2020 at 9:50 PM, kingofsurrey said: Rugby is played much more over the world than american football.... When I think of Rugby, I think of what football must have been in the pre World War days when the forward pass wasn't invented yet. Football players at the skill positions are better athletes on average in football as opposed to Rugby. Just look at corner backs, they have to be good going backwards and changing directions to stay with pass catchers. They have to have loose hips and be able to transition while keeping their knees bent. They are often the fastest and quickest and best athletes on a football team. Ruby also has nowhere near the number of pre designed plays with intricate wording to remember in order to execute.

What is your point again.... ? Are those "billion" people contributing to the revenues of the cricket world cup? Nope they aren't Say what you want about the NFL, but the NFL is a money making juggernaut, only European soccer rivals them, and Im not even sure thats true. To put in perspective, the NHL's tv deal with I think Rogers? is 2 billion in 10 years (200 mill per). The NFL's tv deals are about 5 Billion$ annually (i think its more) and they are only short term as they constantly renegotiate since they know there is a rabid demand for their product. Thats JUST tv, thats not including the gambling side, attendance, merchandise, sponsors, fantasy football, the list goes on and on. The NFL could go on strike, and have 0 attendance on all their stadiums, and the owners would still make money.

I disagree - I stopped watching the half time show - the cameras kept focusing on the singer's crotches - that wasn't entertainment for families - it was like going to a strip club. I don't get why the performers wore that - they looked like New York hookers - they have far too much talent to degrade themselves like that. Agreed, didn't watch the game nor the halftime show but the clips and screenshots I saw I wouldn't want young girls to look at that filth either. And to contribute that act to 'empowerment' was a joke. One day maybe they'll go back to substance over style but with Jay-Z running the show that won't happen anytime soon.

I discovered women's Brazilian beach volleyball at a very tender age, captivated my imagination like no other sport had or since has done. It was available on TV. Women's gymnastics, water polo, (as posted above) cheerleaders all have outifts that are similar to the ones worn by the performers. All are available on TV. Little girls saw it as a performance, you saw "filth" because that is what you found captivating. Kids are affected far more by observing the actions of their caregivers than they will be by any "filth" they find on TV.
