Blain was announced a while back, guess they like the familiarity with him seeing time in Chicago last year... but yeah, Blain and Biega aren't going to be on the big club so no need to read too much into this. LostViking Posted July 5, 2013 Share Posted July 5, 2013 Exciting news that we have signed Biega, I have always been impressed with this guy (who I learned about from following McNally). Not sure if his talent will pan out in the NHL, as I haven't seen his AHL play, but he was a great NCAA player and should be a very good addition to our farm system. I would like to see the same policy instituted when posters quip "bold move Gillis" or anything to that effect. Do you guys not realize that every single team in the league is looking to also improve their AHL team over the summer. Gillis is doing what every other GM is doing, but you want to criticize him because you think it somehow validates your own opinion that Gillis is a bad GM.
