Visp
Dmitry Chesnokov@dchesnokov31m #KHL's Atlant officially terminated Nik Zherdev's contract today. Any takers? Mykola Olehovych "Nikolay" Zherdev (Ukrainian: Микола Олегович Жердев; born November 5, 1984) is a Ukrainian-Russian[1][2] professional ice hockey right winger who recently played for the Ak Bars Kazan of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers. Played under Torts in 08/09 (part of it), 23 goals, 35 assists in the regular season.. Played for Philly for $2 mill in 10/11. Former 1st round (4th overall pick) for the Blue Jackets in 2003. Contract "buyout" was apparently money related, not due to performance or disciplinary.
Remy
You really have to wonder why his contract was terminated, though.

Matthew Lombardi 18
Sedin-Sedin- Zherdev That would be an awesome Canuck first or second line. It would be deadly if Torts can make Zherdev play with heart.
DownUndaCanuck
Zherdev, Kesler and Booth could become a very dominant line. That being said if we could somehow sign him, he'd be on our 3rd line: Sedin - Sedin - Kassian Burrows - Kesler - Booth Hansen - Richardson - Zherdev Higgins - Santorelli - Weise

flamesfaninsurrey
Doug MacLean was on the team 1040 and said he had to hire a PI to keep an eye on Zherdev when he was in CLB. Wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole.
Outsiders
for the right price maybe but I would sign Tanev first
Canucks fan in chicago
He's fast, and he has the ability to both score and set up goals. We should sign him for 2 years at 1.5 million per. Sounds like an upgrade over Raymond.

Ossi Vaananen
He's still the softest player to ever hold a stick. He could be a moneyball signing if he's willing to take less. It really depends if MG thinks Jensen is ready.

SOB for MVP
If he would consider coming back, I wouldn't mind him. That being said, I don't think he would, and certainly not for cheap
