DeNiro
doesn't Anderson have duel citizenship, and he plays for a Canadian team. I have heard his name in topic of discussion with team Canada during the team 1040 radio show before. He plays for team USA.
DeNiro
Funny how people rip apart Luongo, yet he seems to be the consensus number 1 goalie for team Canada. Strange how that works.
Xbox
Using previous chemistry and familiarity with a specific position, this is what I think (or close to it). Neal - Crosby - Giroux Nash - Stamkos - St. Louis Tavares - Toews - Eberle Lucic - Getzlaf - Perry Bergeron Keith - Seabrook Hamhuis - Weber Letang - Pietrangelo Doughty Luongo, Price, Ward
Jaimito
will be fun to see who are invited to camp tomorrow. some guys might make the team even if not invited to camp if they have a great reg season. having more speed on big ice will be crucial. not sure guys like lucic will make the cut. zaebis
Rick Nash - Sidney Crosby - Steven Stamkos (High scoring line) Jamie Benn - John Tavares - Jordan Eberle (All have experience winning gold at the 2009 WJC) Mike Richards - Jonathan Toews - Claude Giroux (Insane checking line) Eric Staal - Ryan Getzlaf - Corey Perry (Big guys with good two-way play) Dan Hamhuis - Shea Weber Duncan Keith - Brent Seabrook Drew Doughty - P.K. Subban Roberto Luongo - Carey Price
shiznak
Funny how people rip apart Luongo, yet he seems to be the consensus number 1 goalie for team Canada. Strange how that works. It's really Luongo's job to lose. Sort of like in 2010, with Brodeur. One bad outing in the round robin, and In comes Price.

Bruce Boudreau
I agree Burns is a poor man's Byfuglien, but who would you swap out for him? Whoever ends up being the extra forwards or d. Burns should get one of those spots.
250Integra
Anyone surprised that Quenneville was not selected to be part of the coaching staff? Coach - Babcock Assistant coaches - Julien, Ruff, Hitchcock I can understand why Ruff and Hitchcock were chosen (part of the 2010 team), but I definitely would've taken Quenneville over Julien. Amish Rake Fighter
I don't expect Seabrook to play a significant role in Sochi, his foot speed was an issue in 2010, I think he only played around 5 minutes in the gold medal game.
apollo
I hate lots of Canadian players (Couture, Keith, etc.) but Canada's my country and I'll support them 100%. I pledge my allegiance to club over country. I cheer for vancouver... its my city. I have zero relation to some guy in nova Scotia, Saskatoon or Montreal. Canucks are my team. Skating... skiing... or any other winter sport canada has my full support. Mens hockey is different though - Canucks are more important to me. Ill bleed blue and green over white and red anyday. If there's no canucks on team Canada I could careless. I rather even cheer for kes and the states. Although
Peaches
Stamkos-Crosby-St.Louis ------> Pure scoring line. Neal-Toews-Giroux --------> Scoring line 2. Toews can be used as shutdown role if needed. Nash-Bergeron-Tavares -----------> Can score defend and hit. Eberle-E.Staal-Perry -------------> Another line that can score, hit and defend. Weber-Subban ---------------> Both are game changing, dynamic defencemen. Unstoppable. Keith-Pietrangelo --------------> Can be used in a shutdown role and also chip in points when needed. Letang-Hamhuis -------------> Letang is a great offensive d-man but not a stud defensively. Hamhuis covers up for him. Luongo/Price -----------> Not sure which yet. Both would be great options. 5Fivehole0
My team Canada line up All 4 lines are tough and can score goals. Stamkos/Crosby/Bergeron Toews/Tavares/Perry J.Staal/E.Staal/Nash Couture/Lucic/Carter St.Louis Canada will have the best D in the Olympics Hamhuis/Weber Bouwmeester/Subban Staal/Seabrook Doughty Luongo (Say what you will, he's still a top 5 goalie in the NHL) Crawford Price
