Jaromir Jagr is set to join his fourth team since returning to the NHL in 2011-12.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com, the 41-year-old has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Jersey Devils. The deal is expected to be announced on Tuesday.

Jagr returned to the league two years ago with the Philadelphia Flyers before signing a one-year, $4.5 million deal with the Stars last season. The Stars traded Jagr to the Bruins prior to the deadline and Jagr helped Boston reach the Stanley Cup Final.

The veteran forward posted 16 goals and 35 points in 45 games played last season, adding 10 assists in 22 playoff appearances for the Bruins.

Jagr has played in 19 NHL seasons in his career. The 1998-99 Hart Trophy winner has two Stanley Cup victories, five Art Ross Trophies, and three Lester B. Pearson Awards. Jagr is also a seven-time First Team All-Star.

Jagr has only missed the playoffs in two of his 19 seasons.

Last I checked Nj was in the cup more recently than we were. They were a playoff team last year til an annihalation of injuries derailed their season. Yea they lost Kovy and Clarkson but they have signed a few decent free agents as well.

Yes but since then, they've lost Parise (69), Sykora (44), Kovy (83), and Clarkson (46), which made up for 242 of their points in 2011-2012. That's quite the void to fill in for the next season, and it was shown that they didn't as they missed the playoffs and played .500 hockey.

Injuries? Talk to Ottawa. They seemed to do fine without their allstar goaltender and number 1 defenceman.

This is all Lou - best GM in the NHL. He sees Brodeur is getting old, so somehow acquires the best future goalie for a single pick. He then loses Kovalchuk in a random event that not many GMs would be able to recover from, and goes on to somehow sign Brunner and Jagr.

This GM is the only reason the Devils are considered contenders, and is why they've created a Cup-winning dynasty like Detroit. No one knows how he does it, but he plugs the holes his team has, and they aren't his fault.
