dangler696969
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=428422 even with new representation in place, it appears Roberto Luongo is ready to report to training camp in September as a member of the Vancouver Canucks. "Roberto has a contract and is preparing to be at training camp," Luongo's new agent Pat Brisson of CAA told TSN's Farhan Lalji on Thursday. However, Brisson and CAA partner J.P. Barry are still planning to talk to Canucks general manager Mike Gillis and assistant GM Laurence Gilman next week. Luongo parted ways with long-time agent Gilles Lupien earlier this week and switched to CAA, prompting some to immediately speculate that he could still be looking to part ways with the Canucks. But Brisson says the move was just about getting new people to represent him. "He has been through a lot the past 18 to 24 months and needed a different voice and sounding board," he explained to TSN. The veteran goaltender did not hide the fact over the last year-and-a-half that he wanted to be traded and the Canucks tried desperately to accommodate him. But things took a far different turn last month at the NHL Draft when goaltender Cory Schneider was shipped off to the New Jersey Devils instead. nuck nit
"He has been through a lot the past 18 to 24 months and needed a different voice and sounding board," he explained to TSN. Yeah, every player dumps their career long agent overnight for a `different voice and sounding board`.
