DrChill
Kes will still most likely get 1st line pp minutes so he will still put up the points. Sedin-Sedin-Kassian Booth-Schroeder-Jensen - fast offensive line, gives Schroeder two decent sized wingers as well Burrows-Kesler-Hansen - this line will drive opponents nuts Higgins-Richardson-Weise - another solid checking line
Me_
SHINKARUK - H. SEDIN - KASSIAN D. SEDIN - HORVAT - BOOTH BURROWS - KESLER - HANSEN SESTITO - RICHARDSON - WEISE Jensen or Shinkaruk Horvat or Gaunce
The Lock
One of the best 2 way players in the game has to move position for a rookie? goodluck getting kes to agree to that.
adniel_g
Problem is whatever the line combos, I see the line that Kesler is on as the second line. If that's the shutdown line (3rd line) or not, it will still be playing more than the "second line" unless we sign a legit 2nd line c...maybe if Roy stayed. Even if some of our young guys show some "stuff" in 2nd line c role, we are a cap struggling team throwing a 5m cap hit player on the third line? This is gonna be goalie controversy all over again if Schroeder (etc) actually performs well in the 2c role. Kes seems to be fairly egotistical, can't imagine he'd be pleased with this. This seems desperate to me to get some kind of hype going for the season. If its legit, this season is gonna be another disaster...
King Heffy
Kesler plays lots of PP and PK minutes. He'll get plenty of ice time even if he's on the "third line". It's also probably wise to lower his minutes slightly so he has a better chance of staying healthy.

Absent Canuck
Higgins - Gaunce - Kesler or Kesler - Gaunce - Hansen Gaunce, by all indications, is looking like a stud being the best player for Canada at the development camp. He's a big body who is excellent defensively, great on face-offs, and has a scoring touch down low in the dirty areas. Gaunce could centre the third line and hold the fort down low, allowing Kesler to produce offense on the wing and shadow the more dangerous scorers. ilduce39
I think Cody's fans had the same kind of future pegged out for Hodgson. Kesler stepping aside to give the kid whatever he wanted. Probably not a great way to win over your team mates.
CanuckRow
I really don't see Kesler being used as third line centre lasting very long.
DeNiro
It doesn't matter what line they put Kesler on it will be the second line. He'll get more minutes than anyone aside from the Sedins and maybe Burrows.
Blömqvist
Oh my many many hindu gods. That's one of the worst line combos I've ever seen. I sure hope you're joking. Shinkaruk is not playing center and Higgins is god awful on the right wing and we're not putting Daniel with a couple plugs. Lol.
nuckfanfromafrica
I think a good move would be to trade for Cody Franson. Play Kesler & burrows against other teams top line. Roll a more balanced mobile defense to help with our transition game. An effective roster would be CAPGEEK.COM USER GENERATED ROSTER My Custom Lineup FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Zack Kassian ($0.870m) Chris Higgins ($2.500m) / Jordan Schroeder ($0.600m) / David Booth ($4.250m) Bo Horvat ($1.775m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Alexandre Burrows ($4.500m) Dale Weise ($0.750m) / Brad Richardson ($1.150m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) Tom Sestito ($0.750m) DEFENSEMEN Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) / Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) Alexander Edler ($5.000m) / Cody Franson ($1.800m) Jason Garrison ($4.600m) / Chris Tanev ($1.250m) Andrew Alberts ($0.800m) / Ryan O'Byrne ($0.750m) GOALTENDERS Roberto Luongo ($5.333m) Eddie Lack ($0.750m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $65,078,333; BONUSES: $850,000 CAP SPACE (23-man roster): $71,667 Call up: Forwards - Jensen (RW/LW), Lain ©, Santorelli (C,RW), Ferriero (C,RW), Hamill © Defense - Corrado (RD), Weber (RD), Tommernes (LD), Sauve (LD) Roster Composition: - 3 left handed Centers - 2 Right handed Centers - 2 (maybe 3) power forwards - 2 Snipers - 3 two way forwards - 5 grinders - 3 two way D - 3 Offensive D - 2 Heavy Hitting D
