Alchemy Time
2 guys that won't re-sign with Edmonton for a future poor-man's Pavel Bure. Desperate move by a desperate GM
Tangelos
Probably a more accurate statement. I highly doubt Yakupov will be as successful as Bure.

Warhippy
MIller makes no sense as Bryzgalov would be a much better stop gap and is already a UFA so would cost the team nothing. Hodgson, Myers and possibly Vanek wouldn't be a bad trade if there's a package for all three. IF MAcT and K-Low are smart they could swing a deal involving some of the following or all of the following pieces Edmonton. Smyth Yakupov Klefbom Picks Buffalo. Myers Vanek Hodgson/Girgenson Leino and picks It would alleviate cap issues for both teams, give both teams what they want or need and in Buffalo's case relieves them of at least 1 possible UFA issue (K-Lowe wanted Vanek before so....) I could see any combination of the above mentioned players going. But not Miller, if they trade for Miller than this team is in much worse trouble than I thought they could be

Alchemy Time
I think a Yakupov in his prime playing in the 90s when Bure was playing he'd be just as good given the crappier defense and goaltending back then. Obviously now players are bigger and better defensively
TOMapleLaughs
Lol isn't it typical that the Oil would want to trade a future star for a UFA goalie that doesn't even want to play there? I hope Miller waives. Maybe Gretzky can talk to him.

Spoosh
It would be kewl to see how Miller coming there (EDM) would do to their record. Could he be the one big piece they need to make the jump? They need D too, but no matter how much D they get, it won't cut it with Dubydoo...

Warhippy
Are you on crack? Why would the Sabres give up there 3 best players plus Leino picks for an aging yet, a young player whose struggling badly this year and f&*King Klefbom.
Armada
They were supposed to improve their goaltending not make it worse.

rampage
Miller doesn't want t go to Edmonton and even if he didnt have the NTC he would have probably left at the quickest opportunity after his contract expired.
canuckfan85
It's all relative, Bure had a wooden stick, was limited by the red line and play was way less clean (hooking, holding, crosschecking).

khay
If I'm Edmonton and if I'm trading Yakupov, I would make sure that I get Hodgson in the trade. Eberle and Hodgson would make a great second line to Hall and Nugent-Hopkins first line. With Gagner centering the third line they are gonna be pretty good on forward. Hall-Nuge-Perron Eberle-Hodgson-Hemsky Now, they just need to find a reliable defence and goaltending lol If Edmonton is trying to get Vanek and or Miller (appears he doesn't want to go there anyways), then I really don't think they should trade Yakupov. Basically, Vanek and Miller may not re-sign there after this year whereas Yakupov will be a restricted free agent. So they might lose Yakupov for nothing after this year, which would suck bad.
