theminister Posted October 18, 2013 Share Posted October 18, 2013 If Edmonton is serious about making a major trade with Buffalo, they should try as hard as possible to get Ott included in the deal Edm needs the size up front and could use another possible centre who can win draws. In that case, Dreger is just protecting Nonis, doesn't want to throw Reimer/Nonis under the bus, but of course the Leafs would take that in a earthbeat. Why would they deal their only productive player apart from Vanek, especially since they recently signed him to a pretty good contract? Also, Buffalo are REALLY weak on the center position, who would play there instead of him? Tyler Ennis? Considering where Buffalo are right now when it comes to a team, you would think that they would have future plans with their 23 year old centerman playing on the 1st line. They do have some interesting prospects at center like Grigorenko, Girgensons and Adam, but there's no guarantee they will pan out, they haven't proven anything in the NHL.
