hudson bay rules
Apparently there will no longer be Regional Blackouts in the new deal. So if you have SNET Pac/Van then you should be able to watch Canucks games next season. This is great news. Where did you find that info?
Xbox
Sick, I can watch Canucks games on TV finally, since they are lifting the regional blackout http://www.google.ca/search?q=sportsnet+regional+blackouts&safe=off&source=lnt&tbs=qdr:d&sa=X&ei=HNSUUuGUIcH-rAe6sICYDQ&ved=0CBsQpwUoAg&biw=1280&bih=
Tre Mac
Looks like I'll be watching alot less hockey and alot more NFL/NCAA football. NHL dropped the ball on this move. Shaw cable does a better job on its hockey boradcasts than sportsnet, and that aint no joke.
goalie13
This is great news. Where did you find that info? I've been watching the press conference. They confirmed it and even bragged about it as one of the best parts of the deal.
Monty
Not sure why people are pooping their pampers over this. 1. I can finally watch Canucks games on Sportsnet in Manitoba, without having to buy Center Ice. 2. For those saying "DERP SN!@! TSN iz Wayz bettrsz!" I assume Rogers will pillage all of TSN's talent and bring them over to improve the quality of their programming. That's TV Broadcasting 101. That is the best part of the deal IMO, if you don't live in BC and like the Canucks, this is pretty awesome news.

ccc44
This is crap. I like TSN waaaaaay more than CBC and TSN has much better analysis. they will all be looking for work soon
aGENT
I think this is going to kill TSN , I dont think they will be able to recover losing on what is far and away there bread and butter Certainly not going to help them but I doubt it will kill them. They likely will retain all the World Jr. rights etc too and there are other sports... Sportsnet sure weren't dicking around though... Hopefully we get the best of both worlds here with them pillaging talent from TSN, national coverage, no more blackouts etc...
snucks
Damn. Was really hoping CBC would lose their deal so most of their clowns hit the unemployment line. No we will still get coaches corner with Ron Maclean, too bad.

snucks
Now the NHL will be able to afford the concussion law suits. Yeah !
No_More_Larchide
This will hurt TSN a lot, however their hockey talent will find work with Rogers since they will need a lot more broadcasters going forward. TSN still have the WJHC and the CFL which has never been more popular.

quoi
Does this deal cover all NHL games or just the Canadian broadcasting rights? If it was only Canadian, TSN could still simulcast American games that are on NBC/Versus. Edit: Nevermind, reread the report and it says all NHL games... No_More_Larchide
For all of you excited about regional blackouts being lifted, hope you read the part that stipulates that is only the case on "National Broadcast Nights". Sun-Wed-Sat. Any games on nights other than this will be subject to local blackouts.
Alex the Great
I'm doubting the Hockey guys from TSN jump ship. The way Bob talked about it, they'll keep going, trying to be the best hockey coverage out there.
