gmen81
We just can't seem to take sole possession of first place. I do believe we will have sole possession though soon.

But if you don't got it, you don't got it. The guy has had enough of a career to sit on, and has made enough money that he doesn't have to begin to worry about that. So good on him. A 2nd serious neck related injury will do that. Loved watching him play. Great personality too.

gmen81
At least the o's lost. Despite how bad we seem to be playing lately we are still tied for 1st. Hopefully they get out of this funk soon and go on a run.

I still believe when all is said and done, the Bosox will be the team we have to worry about.

Heh. Good for him, lol. But he doesn't deserve that money. If I was a Rangers fan I'd be pissed. But I'm not.

ShakyWalton
Damn..JB on the DL along with Pillar..not a great time for all these injuries especially when the team is hitting poorly.... TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays placed right-fielder Jose Bautista on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a left knee sprain. Outfielder Junior Lake had his contract selected from triple-A Buffalo to take Bautista's spot on Toronto's roster. The 35-year-old Bautista is in the final year of his contract with the Blue Jays. He's hitting .222 this season with 15 home runs and 48 runs batted in over 80 games. Bautista missed six weeks with an injury to his left big toe this season and served a one-game suspension after a bench-clearing brawl with the Texas Rangers. An all-star for six consecutive years — 2010 to 2015 — Bautista has 301 career homers, 841 RBIs and a .255 batting average over 13 major league seasons. Lake has a .206 average with a home run and two RBIs in 34 at bats with Toronto this season. He hit .238 with six homers and 31 RBIs with Buffalo this year. Xbox
Yeah it's a bad time for injuries. We need to ditch the 6 man rotation, especially when Estrada comes out and says it messes with his routine. Probably the same with the other pitchers. Too much sacrifice for one player. If you must, just put Sanch in the pen. Edited August 10, 2016 by Xbox
Down by the River
If Estrada and others have a problem with the 6-man rotation, the time to speak up was about two weeks ago...
