I think it's frustration from the fact that there were rumblings that the Jays were wanting to part ways with both JD and Osuna in the off season but I think hesitated because they were worried about fans not showing up to the games if they stripped those two players away.  Fast forward to now and both are gone for pennies on the dollar.

Buck Martinez said it best today when interviewing with Atkins in the 3rd inning, I wish I could quote him word for word because everything he said was spot on. Basically saying how this team this year was to be a wild card type team to contend, but when you start having injuries to key players like Tulo, Donaldson, Stroman, Sanchez losing key players that were expected to play and produce to give you a chance, it changes everything and no one could of predicted that to happen, heck even throw in the Osuna incident can't predict these things. But I don't think they were here to fill seats at all they were here to hopefully compete with a healthy lineup which actually made sense, especially with the year Smoak had last year getting a healthy Travis back, but again injuries happened. I don't believe they were still here to fill seats, I strongly believe they were still here because they gave this team a chance to compete when everyone is healthy unfortunately that just wasn't the case this year.

No one really knows who the player is yet except for management so not sure how you read this already... The only thing I've read is the $2.7M they're covering should help the player coming to be a better one instead of just a random player.

It's Moneyball with prospects once they get ride of Tulo's and Martin's contract off this team hopefully soon. So are people mad Donaldson is gone? Or mad because it was PTBNL? I'll admit sucks a bit losing a good player like that, but he had to go and there was no point of holding onto him to possibly get nothing for him or offer him a QO and take a spot away from Vlad Jr next year, that would of been a bigger screw you to the fans imo.

Donaldson imo was a little bit of a prima donna, he cried when he was traded from the A's and now he's trying to blame the Jays for his injuries and recovery time, because he decided to do things on his own instead. He's been an injury joke the last couple years, he couldn't even throw a ball across the field to start the year why? because he wanted to do his own training looks like that worked out well.

wow a bit of a swing in your postings???

he was disrespected you say cuz he was dumped for basically nothing

and was an mvp

and now you are saying he is a prima donna

and you are dumping all over management... just because???

so what were the jays supposed to do?

keep showing highlights of 2015 to make everyone feel good??

both donaldson and tulo have become physical wrecks

and are the top paid players on the team

along with martin who is aging quickly

the jays need to move donaldson on asap

to ensure there is room for his 3rd base replacement

you know, the #1 prospect in all of baseball

it is addition by subtraction

and he will sell more tickets then donaldson ever did

i am so so about the management group

but it is not clear to me they are a problem

player health, which is outside of their control, is the problem

when key players were healthy the team thrived

with all the injuries .. not so much

that is life

so changes do need to be made

and with key assets diminished

their hands are tied to a large extent

remember the smoak resigning

how astute was that??

reread your commentary on that

before spouting too much again about how poor management is

What the heck are you even rambling on about? You must be delusional or something..... Everything you're trying to say I said I never said, I said the complete opposite, you may want to reread your poems before you click send, because you're clearly making stuff up or are reading someone else's stuff and accusing me of saying it.

Please show me where I disagreed with management when I was in favor of them trading him? And regarding 3rd base and the #1 prospect you're just repeating what I said....:picard:

Dude you got issues, you should get help for that before it becomes a real life problem.

In the movie moneyball they sure make the GM of Cleveland look like a moron, is he the guy running the Jays now?  I heard they got a 26yo pitcher coming off of tommy john surgery?  That's basically giving Donaldson away for free, and to all teams Cleveland?  This management team is looking pretty moronic now.

Nice start to a MLB career for Tellez, 3 for 3... all doubles.

I also thought he played surprisingly well at first. When you look at his body type, it's easy to think of his as below average in fielding his position, but that's not what it looked like last night.

Vlad Jr. and Teoscar have some work to do on the defensive side, but it definitely looks like we have some hitters on the horizon.

It was pretty awesome watching his dad in the stands....he was in disbelief at what his son was doing. It's especially gratifying, because he missed Rowdy's first major league AB...

The guy is now 6 for 10 with 6 doubles, probably makes next years team.

The future is looking good.

:lol:Tellez's first 5 hits now in the majors are all doubles (5 for 7).  This has to be approaching some sort of weird record.  I have a soft spot for doubles hitters so I think I'm starting to get a baseball man-crush on him.

Man, I love doubles hitters too. I used to absolutely lace the ball, but I could never find the alleys or get the ball down the lines. My buddy used to get decent contact but would find the soft spots in the defense. The park that we used to play at had a hill just past the foul line and RFs used to have a nightmare down that line.

Rowdy is a great baseball name

The future is looking good, but pitching is still a concern(when isn't it?).

Exactly this, the future does look good so people just need to have some patience, but you're correct the pitching is the only real issue, so this management has a couple years to really address it and improve it, at least they have some time, but the rest is positive.
