Could hodgson be reacquired?

I recall Hansen saying he would knock him out in a NOT funny way.

Lol. A few players were throwing tape balls at him, so when Hansen saw Hodgson start to make a tape ball, he said, "If you hit me Cody, I'll knock you out" jokingly, and everyone laughed.

So while Hodgson was here he was the next big thing, he gets traded and there was an uproar from the fans, Gillis drags his name through the mud after the trade, now he's a piece of crap?

Sorry but no. That guy was an emerging star for this team and on a team that is now starved for goals I personally would be very happy to see him back. The real problems are gone now, AV and Gillis.

Trainer hurt him, team doctors misdiagnosed him, coach called him a feline publicly making excuses why he didn't make the team, he goes away from the team doctors, gets properly diagnosed, no public apology from the team, gets treated, trains with his own trainers and lost all trust with the organization.

Then after finally getting his wish, they run him through the mud and he takes the high road. If I was on Cody's shoes I would've demanded a trade too. This had nothing to do with his ice time and everything to do with how the players on this team are treated.

What fantasy world do you live in?

1 - Diagnosed with a bulging disc by team doctors. Goes home and his doctor diagnosed bulging disc. Goes to his junior team and their medical staff diagnosed bulging disc. Is sent to a leading US back specialist who also diagnosed a bulging disc. He wasn't misdiagnosed. Every dosctor he saw including a leading back specialist found a bulging disc. It's pretty tough to mistake one.

2 - Returns to Vancouver and team medical staff discover a muscle tear that is aggravating the disc. Muscle tear is repaired and his back heals. The problem was prior to that nobody looked beyond the obvious injury.

3 - Hodgson lied about his back condition. He lied through training camp that it was fine and then he lied through preseason that it was fine. The moment he's cut from the team he cries about his back. AV is asked about it and really has only two choices: Hodgson is making an excuse for being cut or he lied. Which is the better answer for AV? He should have just called him the liar he was instead of saying "it sounds like he's making an excuse".

4 - There was plenty of evidence from his agents tweets that there were complaints about ice time to management. Not to mention his agent talking about his ice time on local radio.

5 - His current agent was his third agent before playing an NHL game. He fired two other agents. What does that tell you? It tells me he was looking for that agent that would hound the team into playing him in the NHL. His current agent doesn't have the best rep around the league.

6 - If players on this team are treated so poorly why do many of them want to stay?

Don't bother bringing actual facts into this as you have done for years. People don't like to read this stuff, they just ignore it.

I think MG even had a quote saying he had more in office meetings with COHO than all the rest of the roster combined, and this was at a time when we had Lu and Schneider battling for ice-time, which despite all that was said still probably garnered some meetings with MG.

This horrible trade will never die. Both GMs are now out of the league with one never going to get a sniff at the NHL again. Yea I like to see Kermit the Hansen beat up a pillow let alone another human being like Hodgson, easier said than done Janny. As for being a rookie not earning respect from the 'core' lol get real this is Vancouver not Chicago. Any rookie coming has just as many cup rings so this 'core' needs to shut up and learn how to win.

Bad trade was bad.
