stawns
In NCAA they play what 40 games at most. Not a big fan of that. CHL play gives him lots of shots and age doesn't really impact him in that sense. The collegiate route is positive in the sense that the Canucks really don't need him at the AHL level in 2 years and if they do they can talk him into going pro anyway. but they practice alot more, which is actually better for his development than playing in games. In my opinion, best place for him next year is Calgary. They'll have a pretty good team again and with him in net, the Memorial Cup is a possibility. I wonder if Jake will talk him up this summer? PS- the Calgary Hitmen own his rights if anyone is wondering.

Cornerstone potential in this kid. Just seems to have that 'it' factor. 2015-2016 - BC 2016-2017 - Utica 2017-2018 - Utica 2018-2019 - #2 in Vancouver 2019-2020 - The year of the Demko. ftmN
-Goaltender Thatcher Demko will attend but not take part in any on-ice sessions. why exactly is thatcher not participating in on-ice activities? Anyone know? http://canucks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=773808&navid=DL|VAN|home
bd71
I just hope they can somehow convince him to sign at the end of next season. I'd hate to see him go into his senior year at BC. Then they basically have a short time before he's a UFA. At least the Canucks can burn a year on the ELC to make it more enticing.
