Every city I played in, the fans welcomed my family and me with open arms, and I couldn't be more thankful for that."Whitney played with the Edmonton Oilers, Florida Panthers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, Carolina Hurricanes, Phoenix Coyotes and Dallas Stars. He played in 108 career playoff games, including 24 during the 2005-06 season when he helped lead the Hurricanes to their first-ever Stanley Cup."Terrific career," Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford told TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun on ESPN.com. Master Mind
All the best to him. I'm still amazed at the season he had with the Coyotes not too long ago.
Intoewsables
The Wizard of AZ! Probably one of the most underrated players during his playing career. Best of luck to him in the future.
TOMapleLaughs
Over 1,000pts and a cup (albeit in 2006 no-contact hockey) for the little dude that was supposed to be nothing compared to Pat Falloon. Respect.
zombieksa
Great player, HOF hopeful I would think. Lesser players have earned it. Always hoped he would sign with Vancouver at some point.

Industrious1
Who would have ever thought that his career would have turned out as great as it did?A unique player who beat the odds and achieved more than most would dream of. He will be missed by the league but probably only for a short period of time. I could see him getting into management or scouting at some point. GB5
Whitney and Falloon were an incredible duo in junior for the Chiefs in the '90's. Those were some good days as they battled the Blazers in Kamloops along with Danyluk or whatever plug was thrown on their line with them.
Burnsey
completely forgot about this guy tbh. Been that long since I heard his name. Great player, too bad he couldn't play one last season, but I guess when you know it's time you know.
