Green Building
That is a good deal indeed. We can all revel in it when we acquire him for peanuts. Seriously though, Florida will be fun to watch again this year. Haven't been able to say that consistently since the 90's.

Mathew Barzal
Excited for the slow but steady rise of the new blood contenders. Going to funny to one day see the Coyotes, Oilers, Sabres and Panthers at the top of the league.

A decade or so ago, people were saying the same thing about Chicago, Pittsburgh and Washington. That's the beauty of the new NHL era, bottoming teams can draft blue-chippers like Hubie and sign/ trade for vets that top teams can no longer afford, and with the stockpiling of youth on the Oilers, Sabres and Panthers and increased talent on these weaker teams it leads to a youth-driven increase in skill level across the league. Mismanagement and poor play is rewarded. 7 top 10 picks in 7 years for the Coilers.

Don't hold your breath on that. Chances are slim they all improve significantly enough to be contenders at the same time. But certainly a bridge contract for Huberdeau, he has started to show he's worth it and could get paid big time out of this deal.

insomniac604
Good deal now. Will make them PAY later.I liked Hubs as a C but with the emergence of Barkov and Bjustad he had to move. Would be a waste to play him on the bottom 6.This kid has the tools and Jagr is a terrific mentor. 20+ G and 60+ pts would be a conservative estimate.Having Jagr on that line forces him and Barkov to be faster and in better position, while still demonstrating incredible work ethic and commitment. In 2-3 years FLA will be a beast.
