You people saying good on Turkey are hilarious. Turkey is directly supporting ISIS by smuggling weapons through their borders and illegally buying ISIS oil, which is the main source of their funding. But yes, good on Turkey, the corrupt  state that is propping up ISIS! SMFH :picard:

Yup.

When I hear a Kremlin spokesman say "it's too early to draw conclusions", I'm fairly confident that they were in the wrong on this one.

Here's the NATO tracking of the flight path (in red) showing the jet clearly going through the Turkish air space.

I say good on Turkey.

now how do we know that's not fabricated?

Russia wouldnt touch turkey. As mentioned turkey is in nato. Also russia attacked ukraine so fk their opinion

urkey has a huge military, including 200 F-16's and American Nukes for which the US must provide the codes. They are also a member of NATO, they'll be fine.

Turkey has one of the strongest army in the world.  Ranked number 9th I believe.  But , Really, in a one on one, Turkey will be wiped out.  You mentioned 200 F-16, Russia has over 3000 equiavlent (SU27's) and other air crafts.

this is not going to go well though, this might spark world war 3.  :(

yup.  Not to mention attacking the Kurds, who are doing the bulk of the damage against ISIS.  the "bulk" of it. fearless warriors, fighting against the true evil.

If anyone needs to be kicked out of Nato it will be Turkey not to mention they also denied, allowing the U.S to use their air bases to launch attacks against ISIS.  Why?  don't know, they didn't allow it until they got hit by terrorists.  What kind of Nato ally are they?

Russia does not have anywhere near that number of operational aircraft. Russia has a certain number of forces that are in good condition and then a huge number that are not.

this is a joke right?  Russia has the second largest air force and the second or most advance air force in the world.  The only other country that is comparable to the United  States when it comes to technology is Russia.

your mistaken their aviation standards to their air force. 2 different things.  Russia is well known for not maintaining their commercial air planes, but when it comes to air power Russia actually even has a bigger air force then China.

No joke, here is an article about the state of the Russian military, they say about 1400 combat aircraft, but only some of those can challenge the F-16's and they can't put them all in one place.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/russias-military-is-the-largest-in-the-region-but-it-isnt-the-same-force-as-in-soviet-times/2014/03/10/b3b955b8-a48c-11e3-a5fa-55f0c77bf39c_story.html

In the article it is stated they would win a war with Ukraine but at great cost, but Turkey's military is far more powerful then that of the Ukraine, which let it's military fall apart after the breakup of the USSR. The Russian military went through many years of neglect, Putin is trying to bring it back but is focusing on only certain units.

If Russia's Olympic facilities are any indication, a couple slingshots should be able to handle them. #sochistillhilarious

Except Russia would have to go against numbers. It's not 1 country against 1 other country. It would be 1 country against much of the world (ie, Nato, etc)

It's like if the states declared war on Canada. Do you really think we'd be alone?

Lol love all the assumptions and crazy bias that pops out here. You guys are always good for a laugh.

I love how you belittle people who are simply trying to express their concerns during a pretty routine conversation.

We get it, you're cool.

The plane was apparently in Turkish airspace for seconds.

Worth it?

Edrogan scares me as a NATO member. Bit of a loose cannon.

As for this incident...two bullies trying to pander to their citizens and show how relevant they are.

a few seconds of air space violation isn't a big deal but if you add it to all the incursions around the work d Russia has been playing with in the last couple years, it's not surprise someone would sooner or later push back.

It's kind of like repeatedly warning your neighbor not to let his dog crap on your lawn.  If he doesn't address it, sooner or later he will find a big pile of it on his doorstep. Edrogan just pooped on Putin's porch.

There's no way Turkey should be able to drag NATO into a massive conflict when Turkey is barely a NATO ally as it is.

The NATO meeting was probably more like 'wtf are you doing?'
