Matthias Ohlund has become a scout for Vancouver but I believe that is more recent. Jim and the whole team probably spent a lot of time scouting Dahlen before trading for him. Because the goalie has one of the best scorer's in his league coming down , And EP has been beating goalies all year with absolute lazer accurate shots. So he took the angle away from him . And EP might be one of the few player's in the world of hockey to pull that move out of his bag of tricks. So had the goalie stayed in his net we would be watching a wrist shot highlight of the top corner buldging in the net and EP celebrating. That's a goal EP has earned because (1)he can shoot, (2) he can pass and (3) he can deke. And with his small frame he has shown he can finess into areas where other players need to use power. I think Gradin had a major say in the EP selection. I spoke to him outside Rogers before the December Predators game and he seem to indicate that EP was a better player than Henrik at the same age.
