Man.  If that season ticket drive is any indication, that is going to be one tough ticket to get.  It will probably still be cheaper to fly to Arizona for a game.

After how quick they sold out, I wonder if there are any remaining roadblocks for Seattle?

That is actually pretty crazy.

If we compare it to Vegas:

5,000 NHL ticket deposits

Seattle: 3 minutes

Las Vegas: 2 days

10,000 NHL ticket deposits

Seattle: 6 minutes

Las Vegas: 6 weeks

25,000+ NHL ticket deposits

Seattle: 1 hour

Las Vegas: Never achieved

Clearly there is a pattern here. If Seattle isn't granted an NHL team after this display, then it's quite clear that Bettman has an issue with the Pacific Northwest.

Seattle was only outdone by Winnipeg's season ticket drive, which lasted all of 3 minutes... in Canada. What just happened in Seattle is nuts. Can't wait for a Seahawks Kraken sports trip. I mean why not turn a $1000 trip into a $1500 one?

Bettman's "not so cryptic" quote from the other day was "Seattle season ticket drive will speak for itself". It's all but a done deal.

I love Washington.

That is sweet!  I put down a deposit earlier this morning, and was finished by 10:20am, which I logged on at 10am.

Super stoked for you to get a team there. It's going to be a great rivalry, and I can't see the fan support being anything less than strong. Hell, I'm a Canucks fan and I'll be going to games there.

I'm really excited!  I talked about this today during our company meeting to go put a deposit down, and then I saw the results, and walked around the office showing the results!

So, I'm guessing Seattle will assemble a very good team (similar to VGK). Is this fan base prepared to see the new team down south excel while we continue to spin our wheels? Hopefully by then the Canucks will have turned the corner on their rebuild and can be competitive. Looking forward to the new rivalry.

Seattle season seat deposits is now at 27,381 and counting...

I mentioned in the our season ticket holder thread.  That Vancouver currently has about 12,000 season tickets.

27,000 is a sell out and a 10,000 waitlist.

Deposits are not cheap either, works out to $1028 US for a pair.

I am order 20xxx. So that is 20 thousand something? Hopefully something magical will happen that I will have a season ticket, if the arena is like 18,000 something seats.
