OK as per a tweet by a Finnish journalist:

Trade offer on table:

To Van: 1st #31 pick,  6th round pick, Ristolainen and Nylander

To Buf: #10 pick, Juolevi, Virtanen

Worth considering.....

I’m  a Joulevi and Virtanen fan but I think it is a go for me.

... and Tim Schaller could suddenly blossom into a better version of Cam Neely!

Your plan is that we don’t make any moves because one of our players could come out of the absolute blue to massively over perform their expected ceilings?

Boy, you must have been sour when Shinkaruk, McCann, Stojanov, Dane Fox, Dahlen, etc got traded as they all became superstars

Juolevi's 'expected ceiling' is a #2-#3D.

Risto is basically a #3D D.

There's zero chance I'm adding 10th OA AND Virtanen.

Woo wow!! "Entire farm"?? Can you make some sense in your argument pls??

You don't give up anything decent to get upgrades?? Go back to playing your NHL fantasy game!

Maybe try and get a gauge on what a player is worth, both in terms of value and of his worth to the team he plays for before trading our best D prospect outside of Hughes AND a top ten pick for him. Buffalo fans aren't overly high on Risto, and taking a look at his plus/minus might give you an indication as to why. Trouba he is not.

Not me. Based on the little I've seen of him, I really don't care for Buffalo's Nylander. He didn't gel well with Pettersson at the juniors last year, and considering how much of Nylander's game is puck possession, I don't see him gelling well with Horvat either. Not to mention he's underperformed a bit in the AHL imho.

lol probably some dude on his phone making crap up

I hope so. Really don't like Nylander.

For the sake of comparison, Juolevi was putting up similar numbers to what Nylander did in the AHL before he got hurt. And, like I said before, I just really don't like Nylander's game. He's a puck hog, but does't have the skill to back it up.

You are trying to change a dumb argument.

The argument was that you don’t trade him for Ristolainen because he could end up being better.

Zero hockey people would agree with that.  It isn’t impossible that he ends up better than Risto, it is just unlikely.  It is equally possible that he never becomes an NHL regular at all.

That's quite the list of baseless assertions, Carnac.
