Popular Post cuporbust
Hey guys . I realize brock will likely never read this , but as a father and husband , I felt the desire to create a thread that allows Canucks fans here to express there thoughts and emotions on what brock Boeser and his family must be going through in (regards to Duke Boeser s health). I was recently challenged with a cancer diagnosis for my wife , and know how hard the journey can be for everyone involved . My thoughts, heart and prayers go out to brock and his family, and I am truly proud of Brock for being able to soldier on this year with so much going on behind the scenes for him . Sometimes stories transcend sports, and Brock Boeser s story ; for me, is one of them. We love ya brock ! Get well soon Duke ! A video most of us have all seen of brock trying his best to get through an interview talking about it . Popular Post DownGoesMcdavid
Lung Cancer, Parkinsons , Brain Injury from Car Accident. Dementia Duke is as tough as they come. What a warrior. If Brock and the Canucks core can show half the heart and character that Duke has..then we can count ourselves lucky for the next 10 years. Really breaks your heart seeing Brock tear up Ya it actually hit me a bit on a personal level. Sorta forgot he was a hockey player when I watched it . That's kinda why I thought it would be nice to create a thread. Edited September 19, 2019 by cuporbust 1 1
Popular Post riffraff
Lost my dad at 25. 43 now and I would do anything to have him back. Every part of my life now that I have kids he misses out on and so do I. When you’re in your twenties you are starting to become friends with your parents after you butt heads through your teens. there is no contract or money that trumps family. i have much respect for Brock and any decision he could have made I fully understand. i sympathize with anyone going through family health issues regardless of where they stand in life. 4

BrockBoester
Love the sentiment here. Upvotes for everyone! In all seriousness though, I think it's SO valuable that Brock was afforded some extra time with family, because you only get to keep your loved ones for so long in life, and you don't ever get that time back. I also think it won't affect his training and fitness at all and that he will come out flying and motivated to pot some sick snipes. Believe in Brock

MattJVD
My heart goes out to his whole family. Duke, and the entire family, have had to endure more health challenges in the last few years than anyone should have to in a life time. I'm glad Brock was able to stay with his family until his dad recovered enough to be able to talk with him.

Hope all is well with your own family too. Cancer diagnoses are always tough. Brock sets such a good example and it’s clear he comes from a very humble upbringing. It’s heartening to see Brock be able to acknowledge and reward his family for all their sacrifices. 1
BlueDragon23
Duke is a true inspiration with everything he has gone through and he has raised one hell of a good son, and family. I just lost my grandmother about a week ago who I was close with after a long battle with Alzheimer’s so yeah, this story brings a tear to my eye for sure. But I can’t imagine having to watch your father go through so much like that. To the Boeser family, Thank you for gifting us Brock. We will cherish him every step of his career with us. My heart goes out to your family. 1

Hold on to the good memories.

Crimson-JH
I lost my dad to cancer when I was in 11th grade in High School back in 2003. I know what he’s going through and spending times with the family is a moment to cherish. I would love to have my dad back to my life now, I missed him. I Agree completely, it’s heartbreaking to watch someone you love lose themselves and are not the same person you grew up knowing, but the best we can do is cherish the memories we have. All the best.
