A team on the list just means that those teams are basically 'pre-approved'. Teams not on the list can still try to trade for him, but they'd need to specifically request a waive for it to be approved.

Popular Post canuck2xtreme
Alright! All trades are caught up, so let me know if there's anything you're waiting on. Will be working on moving on some more UFA signings soon, but I will stress, there is NO RUSH to do so, as there is still no set start date for the season. So be patient everyone! 2

Still thinking of adding one dman, too bad Braun doesn't deem MSG a decent enough barn, haha. His loss.

Funny enough, but I’d agree. but every time I talked to anyone about Eberle, they’d basically say zero interest based on cap hit/term. Was able to move him, get cap flexibility now and in future and add some young prospects. Not the return I wanted, but by far the best return that was available to me. 2
canuck2xtreme
Hey guys, Also wanted to note that as MV is obviously a little busy at the moment, you can add me to any talks, just to make sure that I don't sign a player that you've got an offer out for without knowing there's other offers out there. Thanks! 1

Yeah fair enough... but a situation like that is one where you might've been better off to hold onto him for the moment and see if the market changes. I learned the hard way years ago to not pull the trigger on a deal unless I'm getting the pieces I want.

Your predecessor signed Eberle to that contract. Certainly not one I would probably want on my books. You have more wiggle room now tho which is wonderful to have. Only downside is the quality of prospects imo. Good move to make room and clear out an inflated contract tho! Sometimes you have to make hard choices and not worry about the optics. Solid, brave move. I like it even at first glance it looks one-sided. Context tells a more complete story.

Cost us an arm and a leg but we couldn't be happier to have added him to what we already feel was a pretty productive summer of adding Huberdeau and Pavelski. Look out Western Conference, we're coming for you! 1
Gator
Rumor has it the Maple Leafs may have moved on from Frank Vatrano. GM Crabby has been very active in the trade market since taking over and it is clear they are tearing things down to build for the future. No1 wants to be on the Minnesota Wild level of mediocrity, and thats the state the Maple Leafs seemed to be at when the crab man took over! Looks like theres a couple more moves to be made, but the big ones are all out of the way. Hearing rumors Crosby may be available after this season with cap retention if they dont expect to contend next year either. GMs around the league should be keeping close tabs on that 1. Imagine having Crosby at a Louie Eriksson cap hit?
