MikeyD
I like that soft rebound play. Just unfortunately a hair too early on the timing.
oldnews
Horvat is not the 'emotional' / heart of the Canucks. He's consistent defensively (that much is true) - but otherwise Galley is reaching and doesn't watch this team enough. Thats too cliche. -DLC-
3 minutes ago, WHL rocks said: Actually it was Pat who called the negotiations off. Called Gretzky middle of night woke him up told him they were pulling the offer.. Reason was Quinn thought Gretzky was just using Vancouver offer as leverage to get a better deal with the Rangers.. Not quite how it was: Quote “The Canucks had (Gretzky) signed at night verbally, and he (told Quinn), ‘Look. I’ll sign the papers formally in the morning,’ Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman told Sportsnet 590 The Fan’s Brady & Walker, Friday. “[Then Orca Bay CEO Stan McCammon] got on the phone to Quinn (Vancouver’s president and GM) and said, ‘We want this done tonight.’ “ Quinn told McCammon that Gretzky was committed and not to worry. “No, no, no. We’re doing this tonight. I want it formalized. No questions,” McCammon instructed Quinn. Quinn called Gretzky back and asked him to sign the papers that night. Gretzky replied with: “I told you I’d sign them the morning.” “Nope,” Quinn said. “I need to have it tonight.” The whole deal blew up over that, Friedman explained. 2
-Vintage Canuck-
The Senators keep jumping the gun and put themselves offside. They're really pushing for the tying goal.
DeNiro
Notice how Ottawa pressure the puck carrier and limits their time and space? Ottawa will give up a ton of turnovers if we do the same thing. Yet we decide to give them all the time and space in the world to set up.
