Canucks were looking at Kerfoot hard this summer. He’s a confident pest, he’s speedy, he’s smart, and he’s a hometown kid. What’s not to like? And Dermott is basically Rathbone but Dermott can play both sides, is 6’0, 205, hits, fights, and has quick feet. Arizona uses all their 1st round picks this year and next to build around him Toronto will try for Chychrun without question but Arizona will sign him to a contract that makes the trade almost untenable. His performance in camp and during the regular season did not even approach an acceptable standard; he was a complete disgrace to the franchise with how bad his defence was.
