Yet they were 2 for 5, we were 0 for 6.

Still have to actually score the goals.

Luck evens out over the course of a season.  You don't get lucky every game.  Could have very easily been 2 for 6 vs 0 for 5 and boom it's now a 4-0 win.

The Sedins and Naslund were 4th liners at league minimum at his age, and they still didn't play as bad as his first 10 this season. Admittedly they didn't get as much ice time to play awful in.

They didn’t face the other teams best checkers and get the primary minutes to be exposed in either.  Petey doesn’t have the luxury of playing behind other lines that are expected to score like the sedins and naslund did.

Kid has been in a slump no doubt but he has shown us WAY more than the three others you have mentioned up to his age.

not saying he will turn out better over the long term but the three we are talking about were sheltered far more at Peteys age

Falling for Fox’s flopping and the bogus too many men call with OEL on the bench. You can get a good amount of PP’s and still have atrocious officiating. The two are not mutually exclusive.

The stick lift one got me to go down to 5 on 3 that was pathetic

Podzilla must feel like he is back in Russia.  He's gonna score 20 goals playing 7 minutes a night...

If he continues to play like tonight, those minutes will increase. Prayerfully.

What a load of garbage. On a good team, he would have two star veterans around him. But he's supposed to be one of the veteran stars already. What a joke

Sure he can have 2 star veterans around him.... If he had signed a bridge deal that didn't take the cap space of a star vet...

This is a learning lesson for Petey too.

He had such an amazing run in the SHL followed by great rookie season and the following 2 seasons..

He thought he was the star that was worthy of carrying his line.. He is quickly learning that he isn't quite there yet. I have faith he'll figure it out though but this criticism is a bit deserved. With a hold out and higher salary comes larger expectations

Take out the special teams and pretty much the whole team played well imo

Not sure why people are saying this, it was a disaster out there.  The Rangers were asleep from having to PK the whole time, we were at home and we provided nothing until the third period.  Special teams is the new NHL and we are struggling big time
