How is that dollar in dollar out?

They don’t have the cap to do just Tuch. There would have to be a second trade.

Cap friendly believes Vegas has put Stone on LTIR to make the deal work for the time being

Buffalo gets Buffaloed

Absolutely terrible trade for Buff

The 3rds are a wash as both in the same year

so Eichel for a 1st, Krebs and Tuch

Jack Eichel and a 2023 3rd round pick, to the Golden Knights

for Peyton Krebs, Alex Tuch, a 1st in 2022 and a 3rd in 2023.

I assume they’ll need to make another move.  Details are still coming in. The trade call isn’t done yet

Servalli claimed there was a defenseman involved.

I assumed it was Theodore to make the dollars work.

Also this deal is garbage for the Sabres. They’re getting a late 1st, an okay prospect, and a 25 year old 50 point player?

This has the potential to become one of the worst trades in NHL history if Eichel get healthy and back to 100 point level.

I heard Shea Theodore was supposed to be the key piece Vegas was giving but I guess Buffalo having quite a lot of quality Left Handed D-Men this makes sense for Buffalo

This deal makes no sense for Buffalo.

It barely makes them better now or in the future.

Cant believe they held out this long for such a poor return. And now we’ve got another elite level player in our division. Might be the missing piece Vegas needed to get a cup.

If they put Mark Stone on LTIR until game 1 of the playoffs I swear this is the most corrupt league on the planet…

Stone is skating with the team in practices and it’s possible for him to return in one of the games on the weekend.

I think it’s a really big deal for Buffalo!

Basically 3 1sts for a heavily broken Eichel who almost certainly won’t return to previous form.
They are lucky they got that.
