Boldly has a hat trick. We can cry and complain all we want but we're the sole reason for our lack of blue line depth and star power.

Podkolzin is good in his own right, (we'll see if he takes another step) but you can't deny boldly is already more valuable. We need to take shots on these guys at the draft.

Whether we trade up to a spot or one falls to us, we need to leave the draft with one of Nemec or jiricek.

Boldy went to the AHL till he gave them no choice but to call him up.  Guerin insists that the road to the NHL is through the AHL.  Says he wants prospects to become difference makers and they need to play those big minutes in all situations.  He wants them to force their way to the team and a spot will be opened up.

Podkolzin has never really played those big minutes - not even in the KHL.  Got to wonder if he wouldn't be better served spending some time in the AHL.

Toffoli just scored. Flames are  about to win 7 in a row and move ahead of Vegas.

Gudbranson had another goal.

LA is up 1-0 on the Oilers after the first period.

Dallas is trying to end Colorado's 19-game point streak.

Flames look good, real good.

Given how wide open the west is the Flames could very well go deep

They've been fantastic of late

Another two points in the books

Knocked out by LA in the first round with some suspicious reffing.

Wait and see.

Maybe, but they've been absolutely legit

Them and Vegas are the only divisional teams I could see doing much damage against the top central teams

I also just know from us facing those teams that the ice is always tilted.

Bettman will have his refs putting in the work to make sure a small market team like Calgary doesn’t get past LA or Vegas.

Wish I didn’t think that poorly of the NHL but I’ve seen too much to know it’s a corrupt league.
