Show me the stats to back up your claim.

Whats his battle count. its easy to claim being tops in the league if you only enter 3 board battles all season and win 2. Does that make you better than the guy with 300 won board battles of 500 participated in because youre win %age is better.

Brock is a puck battle wizard.  The Leafs are baby whiner losers, and so are their fans.

I always thought Pearson is more of a Chris Higgins - big, two-way complementary, foot soldier-type forward who does all the little things.

Boeser reminds me of a bigger Tyler Toffoli - smart and hardworking player with the hands and talent to make things happen.  Certainly Boeser's a cut above Pearson.

We get it.  You’re a Leaf fan.

You love the Leafs.  You Love pants down and double flamingo and pyjama boy.

You keep those guys, and we will keep Boeser.

Boeser is only 25, and not in his prime, yet; although, the QO is a tad too expensive, for his current production.  Preferably, they keep him due to age; focus on trading and getting good values, for players that are older.

Both are overpaid for what they’re bringing. I’d cut bait on Boeser unless he’ll sign a multi year deal around 6.5 mill a year. 7.5 million is too rich for a complementary sniper. Garland can move up the lineup and we can restock some of those prospect cupboards if Boeser doesn’t seem willing to sign for lower than his QO.

Just curious as to how other fans see him.  For me Brock has been a no show for alot of the season so I looked up his stats and compared it to Tanner, For me both are slow footed for the modern game and both can shoot and be streaky when it comes to scoring.

Basic season stats are not all that good for Brock

Brock

49 games played 15G 15A -6  with 20 points on the Powerplay, so only 10 even strength points all year

Tanner

51 games player 11G 14A +6 with only 4 points from the powerplay, 21 5v5 points on the season.

Not into the advance stats to much, but is Brock that much better than Pearson when it comes to driving play? I don't think so.

Brock is the bigger asset for sure, but Pearson does things that Brock doesn't.  The key is whether Pearson's the better bang for the buck player.  This year yes for sure.

The only thing Brock battles is split ends.

Oof them's fight'n words Alf. I grew up in Vancouver and have been a Nucks fan my whole life I vividly remember watching Bure's first game as a kid. I just want the team to actually win a cup one day.

Brocks a passenger on this team riding Miller, Pete and Bo's coat tails. I hate to break it to you Alf he doesn't have what it takes to be a winner.

Your elite board battling Brock has 1 hit in the last 9 games. A whopping 19 hits this entire season to date.

Here let's dig deeper this elite sniper was tied with both Tanner Pearson and Tyler Motte with 4 goals in 17 playoff games. Neither of whom were afforded the quality of ice time Brock was gifted. lets call a spade a spade he's easily shut down because he doesn't have a stiff bone in his body.

You e convinced me.  Bye bye Boeser!  :towel:

I think that Boeser needs to play with complimentary players.  Given the right line mates, he'd score 35 year in year out.

Play him on a line with P Kane or Gaudreau....someone who can get him the puck in a seam and he'll score by the boat load

I wouldn't say 'slow footed' but neither is fast. They are both decent skaters. If I was looking for a cap forward to move for a right side D Boeser would be my first choice. He has certainly improved the defensive side of his game but I wouldn't call him good defensively. He's ok along the boards but not good. He's the least physical, despite decent size, ranking dead last at hits per 60 minutes among the 16 forwards to play this season. Of our high cost forwards I view him as the most expendable. Garland, Podz, or Hogs could slot into his PP1 slot and I doubt it would be any worse. Plus there's still Pearson, who does more right, who can move up even strength. There is some depth at forward. As likeable as he is, he's the most expendable to bring a good return, preferably a top 4 RD of comparable age.
