What an obnoxious and untrue comment.

Show me where people wanted a guy turning 30 who averaged 55 games a year over the past 4 years re-signed to the deal the flames gave him.

This is pure hindsight.

Exactly.  People don’t even want to resign Miller

This might be an unpopular opinion, but based on what they’ve said about Pettersson’s wrist injury and how it is minor and he will play during this homestand…..

Kind of makes Petey look like a kitten.
If it is minor like it is being said, he should sack up and play.
The team is deep in a playoff hunt.
Time to dig deep and play through the pain.
The team is obviously missing him.

Dr. Recchi is behind the New Jersey bench, not ours.  I'll trust our medical staff.  Minor injuries can turn into major injuries all too easily.

Everyone who understands hockey was upset to see us let Tanev go.

He was a core player not yet past his prime - yes - it was upsetting to see him go.

And he was also a perfect compliment to Huggy. Imagine if that synergy had the extra years to meld & grow here. Hughes has had nothin’ close to it since.

OK period but WOW our defence leaves something to be desired. No wonder we have the worst D in the league.  Full of holes, no speed, out of position and in need of a serious revamp!  Games like this against the speedier eastern teams really exposes our defencive woes.  Hopefully when JR begins the deconstruction of the team in the next few days, he'll try to unload a few (maybe 4 or 5) of our weak defencemen.

Maybe there’s a huge offer on the table for him? Lafrenier and a prospect for Petey and Halak?

We are in this game because ...Daws.

Our defensive breakdowns and the number of grade A chances we have given would normally see us chasing the game.

Daws let in at least 2 that would be stopped 99.9% of the time

Ask Uncle Jim which is the better deal?

Updated to include his assist tonight!

Tanev didn’t even get the chance to accept a deal with a hometown discount involved.  He was left hanging. Benning ble-up the bubble squad with his inertia.

He's also the only reason Miller didn't have a hatty in the first.
