This is why his shooting % IS sustainable. Because 90% of his goals are tap ins. It's like in golf comparing an 18 foot put to a 1 inch put, they both cound as 1 stroke. But the 1 Inch put is going to be sunk 100% of the time.

And reading his recent interview Kuz Missile knows he needs to shoot more. So more shots means (likely) more goals, even though his % rate of scoring to number of shots will drop.

I keep hearing Kuzy's never going to have the same shooting % and that it's unsustainable.  Here is an example of why these pundents are wrong.  You can say out of his hat trick he only shot the puck once.   One was a deflection the other bounced off his stick, they're registered as shots but it shows you why his % was so high and why it is sustainable. Nobody is doing the math. Kuzy is going to score on 100% of those chances.  And he's going to score between 10 to 15 goals on the powerplay just like the first goal. If he scores 100%  of those kinds of opportunities that's 33% of his goal total for the entire season. it's going to all add up to a very high shooting % once again.  Whoever is saying he can't reproduce his numbers of last year clearly didn't see the games or his goals, just the numbers on a sheet of paper.

You are right. As long as Kuz gets in the spots, Miller, Boeser, Petey, Hughes, and even Myers will hit his stick consistently all year. He is the flash in the pan we needed, he doesnt have to pass, make plays, make hits, dig out of the boards.

It's not easy parking yourself in front of the net.  Not many can do it consistently and take the abuse, the cross-checks.  Kuzy is built like a tank though, he's got a thick body and he's hard to move.  And he's one of the Canucks best passers as well, he's not just a 1 dimensional goal scorer.  He's not PDG or Joshua, scoring goals isn't easy in this league.

We've obviously never done 18 together.
