Basically, Barrie has played an important role for every team he’s been with.
Whether he’s a defensively sound Dman or not doesn’t matter. Offense is also driven from the back end, and especially on the PP. His pedigree shows he’s NHL level and perhaps even top 4 on most clubs.

Sorry @King Heffy but he’s not playing on PTOs. He’s a legit NHLer

Edmonton is not a legit NHL team though, and keeping trash like Barriue is a big reason why; he's been a huge liability everywhere he went.  Nurse is the only legit NHLer on their blueline.

The veterans don't look to be playing...so do we still blame them if we lose?

The veterans that are playing are giving effort and look like they care. (Garland)

Maybe that’s just to much to ask though….

heaven forbid the “leaders” set an example and use these games to get into game shape. It’s not about winning right now but effort and preparation and leading the youth.

best players so called leaders mailing it in

And then we seem get off to slow starts huh that’s wierd….

So you consider refusing to play like an NHLer in one's own zone to be acceptable for a defenceman?  He simply doesn't belong on an actual NHL team, which is why he is still in Edmonton.

Your hot takes belong in the AHL
