Miller is super competitive. The right personality for the playoffs, especially if you are in the (b)east. Boston has set a high standard and looks to dominate.

His fire in the belly speech showed that he'd thrive in a Eastern conference battle. While I see no RHDs have been moved lately, but then Miller could be the right tonic to grease those wheels. I'm hoping for a blue chip prospect, my favorite is Bichsel in Dallas. Who are in a playoff race. NJ has defenseman too. Maybe Boston.

Miller at 6.5M, in a 3 party deal, to make his contract palatable. If we retain halfM and another team retains 1M for a 3rd.

He's worth all of 6.5 for the next 5 years. Maybe longer.

retaining on miller would make management look like fools.
Retaining for 7 years would be a tough sell for a team to eat.

pits Hextall says he won’t trade assets  for rentals only players with term. Just so happens We have a guy with term.

They want another shot at a cup with Sid miller would give them a boost if not this season next.
he’s desperate they’re calling for his job perfect trade partner who have all their picks not sure what their prospect pool would yield but we could take back a contract and picks(lots of picks)

Carolina would be a great fit for JT

Boston won’t have any cap after they resign guys this summer.

Id be pleasantly surprised if he gets moved.

Retaining 500,000 isn't going to kill us

I agree 500k wouldn’t be as crippling as his contract will be but
then Start adding the others that might see retention

boeser garland Myers OEL and or buy out hits.

I highly doubt anything happens but one can hope.

I'm hoping OEL stays on ltir next season. Then it buys us some time.

But will be crippled by his second deal, combined with a new Petey deal and millers retirement contract

Hasn't Petey said multiple times in interviews that he wants to win and soon?  You trade Horvat, Miller, etc, etc and I don't think you have to worry about a new deal with him as he's GTFO dodge.

Guaranf**kingteed - if the league needs to rule on it, and we're the first to test the waters, we'll be told that we need to retain on both.  If a team like the desert dogs or the sin city kaaaaniggitts were to do it, the league would be, "doowutchyalike".

They would say sure you can do that no problem

then 3 months later make a new rule and penalize  us  based on that .
proof see the Roberto deal they approved.
