They probably have an understanding and have talked in length about this being Bruce's last year. JR seems like an honest guy, admitting he didn't do a good job, and he didn't lie about talking to other coaches. He tells it like it is. Bruce knows his time as coach is short, but the guy loves hockey and he'll try to coach his best until they tell him he's fired. JR Can't get Rick kehoe out of retirement. He got the next best coach starting with another Rick. They did tank for Crosby that year so who knows... the penguins had 22 wins that year. Team is not going to make the playoffs... or even if by some miracle they did, they would be gone in the first round. Let BB finish the season, look in the summer for a new coach.
