Saving himself for disappointment.

Can’t wait till he hops ship and joins the jokes(yotes).

Leafs deserve it. Center of the universe? Center of a pile of dog shit to me.

Plus we haven’t even seen Hronek play in a Nux jersey but folks already valuing someone else over him…?

Hey if Hronek becomes better than Chychrun feel free to quote me. :)

I don't think it's a big stretch to assume as much, but what do I know?

Myers really is awful at reading plays and making the right decisions.

No hockey IQ in his own zone. I truly hope he is gone next season.

I volunteer to drive him to the edge of city limits..............

First season in the NHL:

Artemi Panarin - 30 goals 47 assists 77 points in 80 games

Andrei Kuzmenko - 31 goals 27 assists 58 points in 64 games

Spectacular.

Panarin's was more impressive due to the share of points on the team at the time but both are still unbelievably good.

To get these players from the bargain bin is insanely fortunate.

Edit: not to mention the value we should get from Kuzie over the next two years will be sooo wonderful.

Really? The team that refuses to buy any players of any value and incurring dead IR contracts to reach the cap floor? The team intentionally tanking for several years ongoing? The team so cheap that they moved to a school to play hockey?

It’s possible Arizona wanted 3 picks in return and didn’t want to return a pick with Chychrun, unlike Detroit.

Alvin seemed to have gone with the trade that didn’t give up as many assets.

Arizona found their buyer and Detroit found theirs.

Nah man, it’s ok. I just think we gotta see how Hronek meshes with whomever and what it affords us in terms of special teams. He’s marginally a bit better/responsible defensively than Chychrun is, but a little less offensively driven, although close.

I was a huge proponent of us pursuing Chychrun in the past and would’ve still loved for us to pick him up, but I think Hronek will surprise a few folks and we also have better control over his future with us, even if it’s costly, with him being an RFA rather than UFA, in the future
