No one said we're close.

I'm on Team Tank and this was an excellent game. We were decent against one of the best teams and didn't get any points. We had lots of grade A chances against one of the best defensive teams in the league.

Great outcome.

Yes, the outcome is great for our draft positioning!    Too bad we've won those other late-season meaningless games over the last while.     Same thing every year..............

This loss against L.A. is yet another perfect example why we need/ed a REBUILD.   For all the "dreamers" that say "we're close", after Tock-It took over, the facts are; that since the All-Star break, the Canucks have only managed to win against 4 teams (a total of 6 games) that are in a playoff position out of 27 Games.  Sad but True!

The reality is we've been playing bottom-feeder teams for the last two months who are dedicated to tanking - unlike our "smart" team that appears great against those basement dwellers.  When it comes to playing good teams - we still can't compete with this same core group of players we've had for years.  We have a lonnnnnng way to go............

What’s your definition of a rebuild?

This is one occasion where the stats make us look better then we were.

I mean, I don't think that LA was that much better then us tonight.

I'd give them maybe 55% of the play tonight.

Nobody loses all the games.  We're not close to being bad enough to compete with Columbus, Anaheim, San Jose, and Chicago.

I think you're looking really hard for a reason to be upset.

We can’t catch Arizona or Montreal. Forget about them.

The best we can do now is move into the 7th slot.

I'd be over the moon happy with 8th overall.

Agreed though, people shouldn't even look at Arizona or Montreal.

Philly

Washington

Detroit

St Louis

Ottawa

Those are the teams we are cheering for!

The worst part is Philly, Arizona and Montreal keep losing too. :(

It will take an act of God for the 'Nucks to catch Philly, never mind any of the other bottom feeders .... Go Canucks Go, don't climb any higher and win as many left as you/we can.

That’s pretty much it. The way this team is constructed, we struggle against big, strong teams. We got som3 mileage from playing the core of the team way too much, and the past few games after the five in eight days, our stars look burned out. It wasn’t so much our inexperienced D tonight as it was our mostly small, slow forwards that couldn’t win hardly any one o; one battles.

Hurose looked good, a little like Tanev’s first game.

Hirose seems like a good pickup, eh

He looked fine for his 1st NHL game.

Looked like it was a bit tough to get used to the speed of the NHL game, but it's to be expected.  He was pretty mobile and smart with and without the puck.  They also gave him Myers so they see him in tough scrambly positions haha
