oldnews
Lebrun reported last week that they are "very interested" in Luongo - which to me would have to mean that they might change their course and try to convince Nash to stick around (which would be the only way to appeal to Luongo - why would Luo go there for a rebuild?) - in which case they may be willing to trade a few of their young assets - Johansen? Their fan base may not be willing to wait out another rebuild. They have some good pieces - if they didn't get what they wanted for Nash, I could see them using young assets to add and try to take a run at the playoffs. mpt
Reimer couldn't nail down the number 1 spot in T.O. What makes you think he could in Columbus?

TheWheeler
Bernier isn't going anywhere until Quick signs his contract extension, which may not even be until next summer.
Blömqvist
Luongo isn't going to Columbus. If they were to get a Canuck goaltender it would most definitely be Schneider.
Niloc009
Well, if they get a top goaltender, all they need is a number one centre, 1st line LW, a couple top 6 forwards, a couple top 4 defencemen, and depth players all over the lineup, and they're contenders. Watch out for Columbus.
oldnews
Yes, but would Luongo agree to play in Columbus? That is the question.
Jaku
Luongo won't waive his NTC to go to Columbus. I could see Bernier going there out of all the goalies listed.
oldnews
I agree that Columbus is unlikely, but their interest is helpful, and might have helped light a fire under Burke, if all the other developments recently hadn't already. I am not thrilled with what Toronto has to offer, but Colborne, Franson/Schenn, and at least and either a second rounder or next year's first if we throw in a depth d prospect like Sauve and I wouldn't complain. Down by the River
I would welcome Steve Mason on the canucks in exchange for Luongo............... if Ryan Johansen came with him
TmanVan
It'd be like inviting the homely girl to the party knowing that she would bring along her extraordinarily hot friend.
ButterBean
Lol I remember last year when Columbus traded for Carter people on CDC had thought that they'd make the playoffs.

250Integra
This is the equivalent to: - (Rumour) Jonathon Quick expected to be Kings' starting goaltender next year. - (Rumour) Tim Thomas and the Bruins management may not have the best relationship. - (Rumour) Water is wet. MoneypuckOverlord
I don't want to sound mean, but Steve Mason made 2.9 million last year. The likely hood of him taking a pay cut is probably like..... lets say.... 0%???? LOL
