From Pierre LeBrun:

"Further to @TSNBobMcKenzie's tweet, Lou Lamoriello confirms Devils have traded for Ponikarovsky for a 4th-round pick in 2014 and a 7th in '13

In my eyes drouin is overrated he can score in the qmjhl but did nothing in last two gold medal games that canada lost. Fox will be better pro than him talk to me in five yrs

Gaudreau has one NHL goal whereas all your "prized" prospects have none.

ryan kesler is going to the chicago blackhawks ...       quote me on it

Lol 3 simultaneous topics about a trade for a bottom 6 player. Oh CDC, you so funny.

I recall reading on some other teams forum that CDC always has trade news (especially canucks) posted with seconds.

Pretty funny

Yup, Zubrus could be out for most of the rest of the season with wrist surgery so they needed someone to fill in. Pni had at least played with the Devils last season so they're familiar with him.

NJD was going to re-sign him, but the Parise situation took to long and Poni signed in the Peg.

Nice for NJD to get him back though and for the same deal they got him for before aswell.

Not sure what Winnipeg is going to do without that big body. They're small enough as it is.

That's a joke, I'm assuming?

Antro - 6'6
Jokinen - 6'4
Buff - 6'5
Postma - 6'4
Wheeler - 6'5
Ladd - 6'2
Kane - 6'2
Hainsey - 6'3
Redmond - 6'2
Thorburn - 6'3
Stuart - 6'2
Peluso - 6'3
Tangradi - 6'4
Wright - 6'3

If there's 1 thing the Jets have, it's size.

I think Poni was brought back to Winnipeg in the first place in an attempt to get Antropov going.

Clearly it didn't work.. a combined 5 points in 12 games..

Makes me wonder if Nikolai will also be on his way out pretty soon.

Hopefully. I want my Jets to stink it up the first couple years, draft high, and develop players properly.

He has never seemed to find a fit anywhere except last year in New Jersey after being acquired. New Jersey could use the extra offense they could get.

You don't have to draft high to draft well. Lowry and Kosmachuk are going to be gems, and they were both 3rd rounders. The Jets are going to have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds this year, so I'd much prefer to continue seeing them draft well later while still being competitive.

I'm just straight up done, with all the Jets fans here, portraying the team as gods.... I'm sick of it. When I walk around the U of M, that's all I see, Jets this, Jets that.... So I woud not mind seeing them being an everage team for a while, which i what they will be with Chevaldayoffs plan of spending on a budget.

Cheap pick up for NJ. A 7th rounder is basically nothing, so Poni for a 4th is a steal considering he can help this team now, and won't go through the awkwardness of playing on a new team.

This guy was still scoring at half a point per game, decent middle-6 forward.
