Hortankin
TRADE EDLER AND BRING UP JUOLEVI!!! The Biggest reason we were so good in 2011 was our PP. The Sedins were amazing and Salo and Ehroff were tremendous. Juolevi could be our Ehroff and Tryamking can be our booming Salo! Think about it for a second. The Sedins next had a line mate as good as Eriksson, ever! Juolevi will be better than Ehroff and how about Tryamkin's booming slap shot? The Sedins could become 100pt players again with this PP!! Sedin Sedin Eriksson Juolevi Tryamkin Baertschi Horvat Hansen Hutton Gudbranson Will our PP come back to life this year?
mpt
Replace Juolevi with Larssen and you may be right, but don't get your hopes up that Juolevi makes the team and becomes a dominant force in his rookie year Also I would pencil in Edler on a PP unit. -Vintage Canuck-
In a few years, when Boeser and Juolevi are playing top line minutes. And our current prospects enter their prime, our power-play is going to be deadly.
davydgoliath
I agree that Juolevi isn't going to jump in right away and have a 2011 Erhoff like impact. But its no doubt that the Sedins and Co. became very predictable last season on the PP and weather they can shake things up and become effective again will go a long way to determining weather or not we make the playoffs this coming season. Fingers crossed!

Kevin Biestra
The Sedins are NEVER sniffing 100 points again, no matter who you put them with. Could the Canucks end up top 10 in power play? Sure, in a good year. But our days of being top of the league in that area are over. The Sedins really have been figured out enough that they won't be dominating the league with power plays. They will still do well enough through sheer skill. But every team in the NHL has a book on them, and most seem to be able to defend against them effectively. drsofthands
During the second half of the season, the sedins aren't even first line players

However, the Sedin's are much more effective with a defenceman on the back end that can move the puck and get shots through on the PP. Could be Larsen, could be Hutton, could be Juolevi (though I very much doubt the latter). One thing's for sure; with the addition of Doug Jarvis should bring a much different look to the PP and hopefully make it more potent.
Ghostsof1915
Let's just outright panic right now and get it out of the system.
xereau
The Sedins are way too predictable on the power pass. Did I say pass? I mean pass. Hmm.
IbanezRG
Pencilling a player into the lineup with no prior NHL experience, with the notion that he makes our team better and will help drive our top players totals up with absolutely no reason to believe so other then he's a top 5 draft pick. This isn't just your average, everyday stupid, this is advanced stupid.

Fingers crossed! The reaso n they have trouble lately is because we had no PMD and they were a 2 man show out there. flickyoursedin
Trade Edler keep Juolevi down. No need to pull an Edmonton and rush the kid. Could destroy his confidence and development by rushing him.
Mr.53
Our PP will be much better and for 3 reasons. Loui Eriksson: Gives the Sedins a triggerman that they have shown to connect with and is also versitile enough to go into the dirty areas. Philip Larsen: For years we have been looking for a right handed PP specliast for the first team. Now we got one. He may not be the best, but he may be the best we have, which is an automatic improvment. Doug Jarvis: PP specialist coach, he will do a lot to change up the style to be an effective one, and adapt to be productive. Sedin Sedin Eriksson -----Edeler Larsen----- That is the first team fi you ask me, and it is much improved. Those three contributions will prove to be huge, especially number 2 and number 3. Our 2nd PP will also be much deadlier. Guys like Horvat, Baertschi, Rodin, Virtanen, Hutton, Sutter, Burrows, all vying for that 2nd team spot. Our second group, whoever they are, is going to bring a totally different style, which is good for keeping other teams on their toes. So yes, our PP will be much improved.
