I still remember people being cheesed about that move I never was. 12 minutes ago, Provost said: If one of our guys was hurt longer term I could see this as a cheap and easy way to fill some minutes. It is unsustainable to have the guys we have eating so many minutes Tanev and Del Zotto are going to go down with injuries just from wearing out. If Gudbranson actually hurt himself badly enough to be out a month I would pick up Garrison. Odds are that by the time Stecher and Edler were ready to come back, someone else will have gone down with injury. If by cheap you mean costs us cap space only then yeah, long term injury to Gudbranson would be the only reason to consider it. Has there been an update on his hand that I missed other than the knuckles Green was talking about last night? edit: couldn't find anything on Guddy other than he got stitches and will be fine
TheRick
I can see Montreal picking Garrison up but not sure how much he has left in the tank offensively?

It was pretty funny IMO. yeah, I don't know what, they guy couldn't skate backwards or hit the net. 1 minute ago, aGENT said: Hasn't that pick now become Pouliot? Nope.... Since Reinhart was drafted he has been nothing but a bust. he regressed a lot in his draft+1 year and it kept going downward since then.

apollo
How about all those bone heads saying Vegas would waive Sbisa? Interesting to see if Jason will get claimed or not. If not, perhaps Vegas can trade him with %25-50 retained?

Warhippy
Believe it or not I'd actually take a shot at Garrison Not for any sort of long term move but simply because there's going to be a market for him come the TDL and with Vanek playing as well as he is, Garrison a pending UFA there could be a significant return for both players. Step 1. Sign Garrison Step 2. Trade Garrison for peanuts Step 3. Re-aquire Garrison via waiver wire years later Step 4. Trade Garrison at TDL on last year of deal we signed him too Step 5. Profit

I'm not sure where Guddy is with the wrist situation, I know he didn't play after the fight. I'd happily take Garrison back, and I believe we still have 2nd waiver priority until the end of the month. He played a 90 second shift right after the fight???? VIC_CITY
Let's say we pick him up, what happens when Eriksson and Edler are healthy? All of a sudden we're over the cap and demoting someone (Anyone) doesn't fix this. So barring a trade, there's no way we put in a claim.
Nuxfanabroad
Interestingly, he's only paid 2.5 mill(despite 4.6 AAV). It would allow Van to back-burner returning players, ensuring they're completely healthy. Didn't Garr also sometimes play the RH-side? He's slow..but built like Gud & pretty durable. All in all, wouldn't mind if they did!
