Nuxfanabroad
Maybe Big MacEwen can do what Simmonds does? Like that kid.
xereau
Good to see Schaller back in the lineup. He is still a part of this team.

They joined up for the third goal last game and putting Schaller with Beagle and Motte so maybe he would pick up some hustle rather then always bringing Bo’s line down. Too bad about Bae and hope it’s nothing serious but man Tim going from the outhouse to penthouse is an interesting call.

Stick handling and puck control is not at NHL level, imo, from what I have seen both in person, and in Utica games. That being said, he is strong, and is always on the puck. He goes hard on the puck in the middle of the ice, something fairly rare these days. None of this collapsing to the net, none of this just plug up the middle of the ice and let them play around the outside. He goes and gets it. I think he is going to get a serious look this fall. Hmmm... good question... 2020 1st round pick? A guy in the AHL who would surely make our team? TBH, I'd forgotten they got rid of the 2019 pick... knew they'd chucked some 2nds along the way, but not the 1st. Another team, then? Tricky now, because so many teams are involved in some variety or another of a rebuild (Chicago, New York R., Carolina, Florida, again, Anaheim in 3 weeks lol.) Guys have to feel like they are part of the team -- especially with the next 4 weeks being so important.

Yeah, agree with you there X. I've long felt there's two seasons(where whistles can get tossed), as the season goes deeper. But if we DO build a rugged team, the ****ers will start calling everything. Anywhoo, I've envisioned them adding size as the yr goes deeper, & I wonder if JB & TG are leaning in that direction? Speed and moderate size, and the ability to get and hold onto that puck, is what they want. Zack is about right in both regards. Not massive, and not lumbering. He could be a beauty. I saw it 2 falls ago in Penticton. You could hear his skating strides all over the ice, and he was tenacious. Sure, just a showcase event but he brought it every shift. This is that 'character' Benning was talking about. Another that I was thoroughly impressed with was Carcone, same kind of game, smaller guy though, and now he is gone. So, you might be right. appleboy
If we are serious about playoffs then they should be putting the best team out there as possible. Shut Baer down for the year. Trade Granlund. Let's get a look a Zack and bring Gaudette back up. Play Sutter on the wing.
Trebreh
I know the Flyers have won like 7 in a row, but they don't intimidate me. I saw their game on Saturday and they played like crap tbh. Next game vs the Caps is more difficult so we must win tonight to give us some gap in the standings on the wild card spot.

taskicon
I think in the summer there should be a Petey Prospect Program, where EP takes all of our prospects and teaches and trains them for two weeks... a month... the whole summer maybe. His work ethic and eye for detail would be a huge boost to all the other prospects. Who knows better at what it takes to be elite in the league than a guy who developed himself into one of the top stars. Just a silly thought.
