Yeah we won a few games but we're still missing some key pieces to this rebuild.

If the Canucks, at minimum,don't put in a waiver claim for DeVante Smith Pelley, I will be so pissed.

He fits exactly what the Canucks need on their 4th line. 

Heavy but can skate. Can hit and get in on the forecheck and can get in the odd scrap too.

This is the best fit for the Canucks on waivers in a long time. It's a no brainer decision imo.

Yes, there were contributing factors for the loss, but the team still needs to improve.

I'd love for the Canucks to get into the playoffs, but even if they don't, the season will play out and we can look forward to the draft.

I think after the game tomorrow against the flames a lot of people will jump back on the Guddy wagon. He is a 4-6 D that is exactly the kind of D we would need in the playoffs.

Is it just me, or has Bob McKenzie had nothing interesting to say about the Canucks for years now? 

Honestly think theres a chance Gaudette makes the team out of camp, even ahead of Pettersson. Don't get me wrong I think Pettersson makes the team pretty quick here but wouldn't be disappointed to see Gaudette make the team out of camp and Pettersson start the season centring Uticas top line with Dahlen and Lind.

Gaudette just looks more NHL ready, not more talented, and not a better player then Pettersson in the long run, but more ready for the rigours of the centre ice position in the NHL.

what rookies will make the team at the beginning of next season? 

 hughes descision to go pro  will probably happen but it means hutton will be odd man out  maybe benning can get a b level prospect for him

All in all I like the signings Benning made today. Who cares if he gave Beagle and Roussel and extra year than originally reported. If Benning goes out and gets a 2C we could have a really solid forward group next season. 

We still have ~18 mil in cap space after the new free agents. Still need to sign Jake and Stecher but we're not going to be close to the cap. 

When does free agency open tomorrow? Is it 12pm noon PST?

So Jay Beagle and Antoine Roussel? 2 guys who should be good 4th liners but over a combined 6 million is that worth it? And the 4 year terms?
