Who’s one prospect you’re really disappointed he never panned out? For me it’s Hunter Shinkaruk. Dude had sweet hands and was overall really good when he was drafted.

@canuktravellaWrong. 35 points in 71 games. Both he and Kassian literally scored at the same clip during their time in Vancouver. .35 points per game. If we really want to split hairs, Hodgson's was .352 whereas Kassian's was .345.

Fun fact: Nils Hoglander is teammates with another former Canucks draft pick... Taylor Matson 6th round in 2007.

@Tortorella's Rant The return of Brad Lukowich and Christian Ehrhoff made that one easier to swallow. For me it was Nathan Smith.followed by RJ Umberger. After getting Bryan Allen and the Sedins the 2 years before, they NEEDED to load up on young talent after the 90's team was dismantled. RJ Umberger holding out because he wanted 1 million dollars and we get Marty Rucinsky and Martin Grenier out of it. Sweet. No return for Nathan Smith and he was only ever known for his indecent exposure while with Pittsburgh, I believe.

Are there any foods you disliked as a kid that you now enjoy as an adult?
For me it's Brussels sprouts, spinach, and black licorice.

Rod Brind'Amour looks like a zombie now o.o

whats the highest pick we can get in a trade for a player over 25 on our team?

I think recent injury problems have hurt both of their value. Sutter has played 1 full year (81 games, not 82) in 4 seasons with the Canucks and Tanev has never played a full season yet. I just find it hard to believe they would fetch a 1st or a 2nd, however, if they were to pull that kind of return, I would want to get rid of both yesterday.

Hot Take: We should acquire 18 year old Sam Bennett.
He has accepted his role as a 4th liner bust, and does a good job on the 4th line. Throws hits, makes his presence felt and can get under other teams skin.

Columbus goes "all in" at the TDL and now it looks like they may miss playoffs. Who is going to pay the price if that happens? Has Torts passed his "best before date"? Are Koko and Davidson in peril?
Letting Panarin and BOB walk for nothing in a year where they miss the playoffs will be a hard, if not impossible, sell to their fans.

Really liking Alex Turcotte think he would be awesome for the Canucks even though being a center.

Anaheim won, Colorado should win handily short of a collapse. Guess I've gotta cheer for Calgary later, gross. What a logjam out west.

Wow that’s bright...

I'm craving Canucks playoff hockey bad.

All these Ottawa injuries on D would be a nice time to fleece Dorion for picks and prospects!
-
@smithers joe Not at all, I like the looks of that.

I'm feeling old! Todd Bertuzzi's kid Tag is draft eligible next year. I still remember Tag and Jaden very young on the bench for Canucks skills comp. Where we learned of the significance of the 'JTB' on Big Bert's glove!

His kid is 6'1 200 right now, he is also playing for the Guelph Storm (His dad's former team) which is really cool. His first season stat line was 41-3-8, whereas Todd's in his first full season was 47-7-14. Todd's 2nd year of junior was where he broke out, going to follow Tag and see how his development goes. Might be a nice mid-round pick depending on where his ranking ends up at the end of the season!

Is it just me, or has Bob McKenzie had nothing interesting to say about the Canucks for years now?
