    confused. if there are several teams interested in holtby, why are the giving his agent permission to find a new home for him.

      If Benning is patient he could find takers
      - even if Swayman is ready in Boston, if Rask or Halak don't come back (or maybe both) maybe they'd be down to swing a deal (e.g. something around DeBrusk for Holtby?)
      - Carolina's waiting for Bernier and Mrazek (Reimer's testing UFA) so in case either of them leaves I wonder if Waddell has JB on speed dial
      - Buffalo's got no goalies signed, and even if Ullmark comes back they could use a backup (Holtby NTC list is 4 teams)
      - Flyers have no goalies signed (even after re-signing Hart, Elliott is now 36 and I wonder if they'd want to bring in a younger/ better goalie for the backup)
      - COL (not saying they'll trade for him) and some other teams also only have 1 goalie
