    Not mad about the Prust deal. Mad about the fact that he's going to be taking up a roster spot that could better be filled with a prospect. Whatever, though. Burrows is still injured and, for what it's worth, Prust will play against a guy he's had success against: Lucic.

    Matt Irwin and Andrew Desjardins would be nice pickups on July 1st. Not going to be avail long. I also want to see Miles Koules, Drake Caggiula, Alex Petan, Alexis Loiseau, Mike Vecchione, or Casey Nelson get a look from the Canucks.

    Boeser and Virtanen are the Canucks' future top 2 line RWs. Jasek could develop into a very good third line scoring RWer. Grenier is the perfect mold for a grinding fourth line RWer. All the while Kassian can't decide whether or not to be a scorer or a physical guy or an aggressor.

      My ideal first line would consist of a playmaker (Baertschi?), a two-way player (Horvat?), and an elite scorer (Boeser?). My ideal second line is an intense/in-your-face line: power forward (Virtanen?), two-way playmaker (Cassels? McCann?), and an aggressor. That would have been Gabrielle, but he went to the Bruins. Now, thinking in really hopeful terms, next year we might have a shot at Lucic as a UFA. That'd be the guy.

      So surprised that Nathan Noel, Tomas Soustal, Krenzelok, mastomaki, mcneely, joe gatenby, loik leveille... none of them got picked

      ^ Many of these guys including the guys Canucks and other teams picked will be busts even in a draft year. So much can happen when drafting 18 year old kids who are not fully grown men yet. Personal issues/injuries and the like can all derail development.

      Even early success does not always mean long term success.
