Caggiula is one crafty little man. Thing is, he's also got tenacity and grit. LOVE his game.

"you look beautiful"
- some kid just screamed that at my open window.
Just wanted to relay that message. -
Thanks for helping the Canucks out Shinkaruk. He knew they needed the loss.

How competitive do you think the Canucks can be next season? What moves could feasibly be made in the off-season to make the Canucks a competitive enough team to compete in next year's playoffs?

I have a feeling that Virtanen and McCann will spend the year in Utica. More mins in a league that will still be tough and guidance under Green will serve them well. I also think Hutton will get to play an elevated role in the top 4 and PP. Larsen and Rodin will probably be in the line up too.Sedin Sedin Hansen/Eriksson
Baertschi Sutter Eriksson/Hansen
Etem Horvat Dorsett
Guance/Granlund Cracknell
Rodin
Edler Tanev
Hutton Sbsia
Tryamkin Biega
Pedan/Larsen
Miller/Marky

Igor Merezhko could be an interesting pickup. Big D (6'4 220lbs) picked up 10 assists this year with Lethbridge. Seems like the kind of guy with the right attitude and mindset to play that key defensive role.

I brought up Stepan Falkovsky last year for the 2015 Draft. I'm going to bring him backnow, as he's haveing a great playoffs. He could easily be a solid pick in the second round this year, just as much as he could've been in last year's draft.

Can't win games without good defence. Canucks may have found something nice with that Hutton-Tryamkin pairing. My vote would be to keep those two together and see if they can build some confidence and maybe some chemistry as Tryamkin starts to adapt to North American systems. Perhaps Hutton can rub off some offence on him a bit too.

People are doubting Laine and Puljujarvi? ...What?
-
The Canucks have or haven't signed Tryamkin yet? Sick in bed, haven't looked at a screen in forever.

Loving Joe Snively's style of play. Needs to bulk up big time but has the hands and hockey sense to play a scoring or bottom-6 role. Excellent skater with blessed hands. Super versatile and an available free agent.

Alex Lyon was part of that prospect package I sent to Trevor Linden... a year ago.
-
Pierre-Luc Dubois is going to be an elite winger. Last time I checked the Canucks were pretty shallow on the left side. Last time I checked was right after the trade-that-shall-not-be-named. The gremlin trade.

@ShakyWalton I think he's slated to go 4th now.

Take a long look at Jordan Sambrook. I can't find anything I really don't like. Mobile skater, good shot, great passer, plays conservatively and doesn't get caught out, and gets into shooting and passing lanes quickly in his own end. Has good offensive insticts which will set the stage for more offensive development in the future. Great raw prospect with the right tools and mindset that you look for in a defenseman.

Yeah Mascherin should develop into a good scorer. I really like the way he moves, he's a great skater with a high top-end acceleration. No Ehlers, but he's a tremendous skater
Can be a little bit of a puck hog at times, but that's usually because he isn't able to find a seam to pass off. He's developed a great shot, but needs to be more consistent with his passes as they are off the mark too often. Not all the time, right, but too often.

Anyone else watch the Val-D'Or game today? That Gauthier...

@Gstank29
How so? -
Big powerful player who uses his size to protect the puck. He has a shot first mentionality and like Virtanen, and has a quick heavy shot. As far as his Vision goes he seems to be more patient with the puck and looks to make plays (that one play in the WJC really stands out) his assist totals, IMO have nothing to do with his hockey IQ/vision but is more an indication of the fact that his line mates look to feed him the puck in high percentage areas.
The only real difference that i've seen is that Virtanen has an explosive first two steps with Gauthier doesn't

Hope to see you all at today's game

Shoulda Drafted Ehlers
-
Dante Fabbro, Kale Clague, Victor Mete... so good. Fabbro's probably the most intriguing right now.

Giving up good to become great doesn't feel too good, but it's a necessary evil

so apparently Arsenal/Red Arrow from Green Arrow plays "Puzzle and Dragons" too...

my funko pop collection is outrageous.
