  1. RIP Dick Dale. King of the Surf Guitars. Passed away March 16, 2019.

  2. Binnington is a legitmate threat for the Calder

I'd say it's close to even with Petey and Dahlin, with Binnington a somewhat close 3rd.  The Blues have really tightened up, defensively, and that's helped his numbers, for sure.

  3. I get the sense that the Fire Green threads are approaching. It happens to all coaches eventually, but Green's lasted longer than most before facing the wrath of fans.

Karlson for plugs and Stone for crap as well

  6.  benning wants to resign edler great   trade him at deadline resign in july. work out a verbal deal now we can use a extra late first rounder and another d prospect. Inquire bout teams (tampa, caps, isle, sabres, pens, oilers)  wanting tanev  and sutter  they bring no offense   rather free up 9 mill in cap for a offensive dman and gaudette can bring wgat sutter brungs already.  Id also look at offers on guddy his advanced stats are horrible  luke schenn cant be much worse  maybe oilers give us poole party;) lets fleece them

  7. Yost thinks Tkachuk and Dahlin actually have a chance at the Calder. What a joke. Just on entertainment alone Pettersson wins by a wide margin.

Tkachuk is scoring at a higher rate than EP is

      Tkachuk

Toss up between EP and Dahlin

  9. Time to  trade some vets  and garbage plugs get rid of sutter, granlund, gaunce, pouliot, biega, gagner, schaller, delzotto, retain half erikssons contract send him east. I cant believe we spend more money on our trash d corp than nashville thats mindblowing  something benning should be fired for. Please let the regular season bump up tanev and edlers trade value they need to be gone at deadline. Literally petersson and gaudette cant do worse than these plugs

  10. IMO the only way we should pass on a Defenseman with our 1st overall pick is if Zadina falls to us at 7. Change my mind!

  11. Love seeing a guy I've been so high on for years becoming so successful. Mark Scheifele is a top 10 player in this league. Also, met his cousin last summer, pretty gal was wearing his custom #55 hat.

  12. Watching the NHL playoffs, it is clear that speed is the dominant discriminator.   Not size.   Speed.   The Vegas success is forecheck and speed.   Jets best weapon - speed.   Bolts look slow, down to a fast Caps team so far.

Travis Green started wanting a faster team that pushes the play.   He appears to have a focus aligned with current NHL success.

I wouldn't say that, it's a combination of speed, skill and size, but speed and skill being equal, size is the definite deciding factor.  washington physically dominated the Lightning in both games and the TB completely disappeared.  The Jets did the same in game one and dominated, last night they quit using their size to their advantage and LV was free to play their game.

do you seriously believe you have more medical knowledge than the training staff of a major sports franchise?  You would be very much incorrect

  14. twitter is  ripping benning and linden hard.  No teams offered us any picks hell id take a 5th rounder for some of our ahl plugs or any vet. What are the management doing sign rodin dont play him  he retires to sweden. sign gagner geez epic fail.   sutter and tanev need to be gone at draft what a waste of 9 mill in cap.   This team is so bad  can you imagine if horvat, brock and virtanen werent on the team wed be 20 points behind coyotes.

I thought the bertuzzi naslund incident was the most depressing time being a canuck even worse than losing to bruins in 2011 but this  team they built this yr is the new all time low point.

the fact that you feel so strongly against the deal and team direction only reinforces my belief that it was a good deal and that the team is definitely moving n the right direction.  I can set my clock by how many times are so completely wrong in a day

That breakaway goal was amazing to watch.......he pulled away from one of the fastest dmen in the league like it was nothing.  I like WS, but c'mon.....

  16. So we only got a second round pick for the best coach in the NHL???? We lose again :emot-parrot:

  17. The NHL really overdid it with how much leverage they gave Vegas. That team is going to be contending right off the bat with how many prospects and picks they'll have for trade bait.

  18. "I think [Sutter] is a guy that can probably do what Kes did on the power play,” - Newell Brown"

I don't want next season to come anymore.

Other than the fact that the twins seem to have gone into "pass it to each other only" mode, Sutter is as good a shooter as kes is and there's no reason he can't be a force on the PP........if they set it up right

  20. if benning trades for a player that needs to be protected, they would have to be better than the player we'ld have to take off our list? probably baertschi or granlund.

  23. If the Canucks win the lottery (BIG IF) do we expose Sutter to the lottery, trade him, or have him as our 4th line center next year?

@morrissex95, I absolutely believe he probably does.  franchise players can step right into the league, but most kids are not ready.

I honestly don't think there's anyone in this draft ready to step into the NHL.  Everyone will likely be back in Jr for at least a year, maybe 2
