Maybe instead of people bringing their daggers out to get Benning. Maybe Vancouver fans should be trying to get Bob, Furlong and the other senior managers let go. Because it seems all the team does is keep re-arranging the deck chairs, while the ship keeps sinking. Maybe even try....<gasp> to invest some money in signing a notable player or two?

Ali Adnan, although not a big name striker, cost a bundle in transfer.  I wish we had a good goal scorer though.  We got destroyed in LA.  6-1 in soccer in like 20-1 in hockey.  Our guys might have a bit of roll over and expose their bellies in them, which is very bad.  We need a couple guys who are tough as nails and will die rather than give up another goal.

They wont, they wanna keep the davies money for themselves ...or they woulda signed a notable or two already (they keep siiging these trash players who suck, and LA proved it and destroyed us)  ...only reason they signed adnan , is none would go to the games , u would hear a pin drop in the stadium....but with adnan , they will have atleast that players supporters there ....but yes they horrible this year, atleast last year when we lost, we atleast scored goals and were fun to watch, i yawned so much in the last game, like wow :(

Soccer is a rich person/company's game.... and the Whitecaps owners are "poor" by soccer standards.  With soccer, it's one of the few sports where a player or two can drastically change the fortune of a team but the Caps rather spend as least as possible.

surprised that TMZ 1040 never call out  lenarduzzi, the same have they call out for Benning head.

With the accusations of abuses that have gone on over the last decade levelled at the team, one would think Lenarduzzi should have his feet put to the fire.

When they actually start spending real money to try to compete, the Whitecaps will be fun to watch.

Can we actually get a top striker and midfielder to play on our stupid turf fired though!

They had a plan for a soccer specific field as the Whitecaps Waterfront Stadium. Right near the Seabus and Waterfront Station.

But idiots at city hall, and who lived in the Gastown area, thought it would be too noisy.

So we could have had a 35000 seat stadium built with private funds, with grass. Even shared the Stadium with the Lions. Saved a few hundred million for revamping BC Place.

Don’t forget the old Empire days where the turf there was significantly worse.  No surprise a world class player like Rudi Krol only lasted one season with the Whitecaps.  He must have thought to himself....wtf is this stuff I’m playing on?  It’s hard as rock.

We build that field, and our team is so much better.  BC Place should be imploded.

Well it didn't take long for this new, new, new rebuild to look worse than previous teams.

Whitecaps need to clean house.

Bring in people who know how to win championships in the MLS. And better still invest some damn money in the team and bring in some players that will not only draw fans.

But help the team win games.

I'm actually worried because it looks like MLS is following in the footsteps of NASL. Expanding too fast while most of the teams are losing money.

mls may be showing a slight loss position based on revenues (an average of about 2 million per club)

but the league is secretive about other sources of revenue and how it is distributed

we are told how player transfer fees received are divided between the league and team

not sure how expansion funds are divided

or other sources of revenue

club values are still increasing so that should tell us a lot

and the fact that there is a line up of wealthy trying to acquire a new club
